SORRY FOR LATE UPDATE I WAS BUSY...

It's kinda quiet so yeah.

Uh, we'll begin?

Ling's POV

"Wanwan!"

She sleepily wrapped her arms around my neck, and hopped onto my back, which caused me to lose my balance again, just slightly. She then rested her chin on my shoulder, which I assumed was a sign for me to piggyback her back to my palace.

So I did.

Suddenly, a piercing pain shot up from my shoulder.

The feeling was undeniably weird, but you would wish that your shoulder just drops off there and then after that.

Without a second thought, I knew.

She bit me.

Hard.

Ouch.

I saw the red patch slowly growing on my white robe, and her teeth sunken inside the cloth. It might be the tigress part of her, the predator she is. After all, birds are tigers' prey, aren't we now.

I continued to carry her to a corner, before placing her gently on the floor.

I ran my hand over the wound, and in a flash, it was healed to about ninety percent.

I then bent down to pick the little girl up, her mouth dripping in blood.

It was gory.

I used my sleeve to wipe off the red fluid from her lips, and stretched my arms out to lift her up.

As my hands made contact with her thighs and back, her face scrunched up.

"Go away..."

I continued to do what I was doing anyway.

She tried to turn around, but to no avail.

Her pouting baby face did look rather adorable...

...

I brought her back to the palace, trying not to think about anything else.

Why does she hate me so much, just because I was the one who killed her in her previous life? But why did I kill her in my previous life?

Wait...

I think I know...

It must be...

I shook my head. They're not the same person. I let the young girl down onto the bed, and covered her up in a blanket. Her face became relaxed, and she turned to her side, before scratching her buttocks, and drooling.

What a sight.

Imagine she drooled on my paper.

Silly girl.

I smiled.

Then, I turned around and went into my room, which was behind my desk which was in front of a wall which had entrances on both sides. If you can't picture it, just think of a wall in the middle of nowhere, and two walls on either side are there, parallel to it, leaving a gap between the first wall and the other two walls, and the two walls have a gap between them, about the size of the first wall. Get it?

Anyways.

I plonked myself onto the bed, completely drained after returning from the mortal world.

I closed my eyes, and drifted off to dreamland.

I woke up the next morning, when the sun was already above my head (outside, of course).

I slid off the bed, rubbing my eyes and dragging my sloppy self out into the main hall of the palace.

Instinctively, my eyes were directed towards the bed, which was empty.

Wait, it was empty...

IT WAS EMPTY.

I became slightly flustered at this because-

Because?

I couldn't find a good reason to be flustered, but I was anyway. Why?

I adjusted my robe and hair before darting out the palace door.

Where could she have gone?!

I ran further and further from my palace, until I bumped into Zilong.

"Have you seen Wanwan?"

"No... Why? Did you scare her away last night? I wouldn't be surprised if you did."

"Well yes but actually no."

"Then?"

"I think... She went back..."

"SHE WENT BACK?!"

heheheheheheheheheheheheh sorry.
