HI THIS IS ME PROCRASTINATING TO DO ME STUDYING HEHEHE.
Wanna continue with Wanwan's POV?
Yeah we'll do that why not.
Wanwan's POV
I turned around, and saw a dude, who had his jet black hair tied into a ponytail and wore a black robe.
"I'm sorry, what?"
"Your Highness, I'm afraid you have been away for too long, but I was told to not reveal anything to you for it may disrupt your healing after being in the mortal realm for so long. However, I am sure that you will know what happened after awhile. However, my task now is not to provide information, I am here to take you back to Bai Hu Palace, for there are many things requiring you to settle since your death."
"My death?!"
"Oh and, by the way, my name is Cang Chi, the Imperial Military Chief (A/N: Or whatever), in case you needed some help with recalling."
"Oh okay..."
Upon his introduction, a bunch of memories flew through my brain once again. They felt as distant as the Sun, yet it was as if it happened just yesterday... I didn't know what was going on.
I followed this guy through the town (I don't know, he said his name but my memory isn't the best here you know) and all the villagers I walked past smiled and waved at me, all of them being women in torn and tattered clothing. Children were running around happily, my sharp ears hearing them saying something like, "Yay! Our dear Empress is back!" or "War is over! War is over!"
Whoosh.
There it goes again. My brain and it's rapid recollections. So rapid that I started to feel faint. I shook my head and continued walking, suddenly feeling that the place seemed so familiar.
...
"Your Highness, here is how the situation outside is looking like now," Cang Chi dude passed me a dish with a tiger head clonged (A/N: NOT A REAL WORD BTW) out of metal, which was the same material as the dish itself. Inside the dish was a silvery liquid, the consistency of pancake mix. When I looked into it, a blue swirl formed at the side of the liquid and slowly made its way to the center of the liquid, before bursting up in front of me, showing the whole state. There were broken houses, small fires breaking out, dead flowers, trees and grass. Dead people.
"I know what to do, you may leave now."
"Yes, your Highness."
I watched him back off slowly, before closing the two wooden doors behind him. I stood up from the large lacquer daybed which was cushioned with cotton-stuffed pillows that was glued to the chair. I walked out past the bamboo screen behind the daybed, which led to my actual bedroom. (A/N: I don't actually know the actual architecture of such places, so uh, if it is very wrong sorry for that.) I knelt down next to my chest drawers and took a deep breath. I moved my wrists around each other, ensuring that they remained intact. A silvery stream of magic (A/N: It's a cringe word, I cannot think of an alternative so we're stuck) came out from my palms and into the lock, which was designed such that only I could open it (I made sure the locksmith didn't manage to open it.) I pulled it out, and lifted up a large headdress, which had an inanimate tiger stuck to it. I gently chucked it onto my head (if that's even a thing) and locked the drawer before flinging my sleeve to teleport out of that place.
I stood outside my palace and walked my way to the Imperial Gardens. I walked past all the beautiful white peonies and black orchids, leaving my hand out to brush against them as I walked. I slowly made my way to the red Phoenix Flower tree, of which the story behind is very deep, but I'll tell you that another day if you could very kindly remind me. I stood at the foot of the tree. I looked at the bark of the tree. I forgot what I was here to do. Ah yes.
Using my magic, I opened a portal on the bark of that tree, and slid in.
On the other side, it was as good as a black cave. A waterfall cascaded from the top of this cave into a glistening river, where there were green plants and luminous mushrooms glowing. I walked to the ladder that was camouflaged with the greens, like branches entwined in vines. I climbed it up. Trying hard to not fall off or drop anything. Finally, I reached my destination. A large tree. It was too a Phoenix Flower tree, but this one had no flowers. That was bad. That is bad. That is really bad This means that our kind is facing high risks. Really high. Phoenix flowers are supposed to stay in bloom for eternity... On the rare occasions when life seems to be scarce, one way to solve this is to continuously provide it with magic prowess until it blooms again, as the flowers are the things that provide magical support for the whole land, excluding me. Usually these flowers will not feed on my power and can produce their own inexhaustible supply of it, they still do need my support sometimes, as I have found out. This time, they need a lot of that.
I got onto my knees, and started providing it with as much power as I could to make the flowers bloom again.
After five minutes, flowers started budding, and I could feel myself getting weak, but I knew I had to push on.
Soon, the flowers started to bloom. I grabbed hold of the bark of the tree to stand up, my legs barely supporting my weight (I'M NOT THAT HEAVY OK). I looked up at the tree full of Phoenix Flowers, happy and proud of my saving of the community, I turned around and slowly walked back to my palace, exhausted.
Suddenly, I blanked out.
The last thing I remembered happened was a big splash.
...
