To occupy you guys while I try to think of how to start the next book, I hereby present you guys, a very rare special chapter that is almost never spotted in this book. Also, this has no relation to the story plot in the books whatsoever.
3rd Person's POV
"Let's take him from the sides!" Yelled Zilong, as his feet left the ground and started to dash towards Yu Zhong. Ling followed suit, each one of them taking either sides of Yu Zhong.
If you're thinking: They won't even be able to land a punch.
You're right, they can't.
But what if they didn't mean to do that in the first place?
"Zilong! Ling! Don't do it, he's too strong!" Wanwan hollered, her voice cracking from the immense pressure she put on it to project it so Ling and Zilong would snap out of whatever they wanted to do.
Both Ling and Zilong have made it to either side of Yu Zhong, and now they gazed at each other, Ling waiting for the look of approval. Wanwan, Baxia, Chang'e, Luo Yi, Yu Zhong, all with faces of pure confusion.
Zilong gave a nod, which was a signal for Ling to do whatever he was meant to do. He smirked a little, before bending down to pull something out from his feathers. It was small, squarish yet round. It was metallic, and had a circular metal plate which had holes on it. Ling pressed a button, and music started to play. He looked at Wanwan, whose face had changed from pure confusion, to one of sudden understanding. Using his head to gesture for her to come over to him, she got the idea and hopped over silently.
The rest of them had no idea what was going on, though everyone knew the song. Zilong mouthed the words cover your ears for Baxia and Chang'e to see, and hopefully to get the message.
Luckily, they did. Well, at least Chang'e did. She nudged Baxia to get his attention, and got him to do the same. So the two side-liners had their ears protected from whatever was going to happen next.
"On the count of three, sing," Ling whispered into Wanwan's ear, giving her goosebumps. Wanwan shuddered a little before nodding.
"One," he started, "Two," he continued, "THREE!" He finished.
~We're no strangers to love, you know the rules and so do I, a full commitment's what I'm thinking of, you wouldn't get this from any other guy~
Just like that, Yu Zhong was weakened. Ling signalled for Wanwan to keep singing, and jump onto Yu Zhong to pin him to the ground. Why Ling chose Wanwan, you may ask. Let's backtrack a little.
~Ling's first flashback~
"Ling! Where are you? Kitty's coming if you are hiding," Wanwan called out as if she were looking for her missing bird. I shuddered in my small hiding spot. As a bright blue bird, it is hard to not catch someone's attention if you are in a GREY, ROCKY PLACE WITH NOWHERE TO HIDE EXCEPT ON, BEHIND, OR UNDER ROCKS AND BOULDERS, AND WHO IN THE RIGHT MIND WOULD HIDE UNDER A BOULDER?!?
"Found you, little birdy! Now transform back into the Ling I want and love," Wanwan grabbed me by the neck, forcing me to transform back into my true form so I don't die of suffocation. I did so, and tried to wriggle my way out of it.
"Uh uh uh, you're not going anywhere," she shook her index finger in my face while commanding me to stay where I was.
What psycho would do that?
I tried to squirm my way out once more, I was too terrified to scream for help.
Wanwan gave a sigh of exasperation and said, "If you force me to, I shall."
How come she's sighing, it's not like she's in mortal danger!
She leapt into the air, giving me the chance to get up and vamanos out of there. I stupidly ran backwards, so I could check where she was.
And just then, she came smashing down on me, pinning me to the ground. She slipped on the skirt and got up. "My job here is done," she said, taking a step back to admire her 'masterpiece'.
~End of Ling's first flashback~
~Ling's second flashback~
"No, Wanwan, please, we can talk things out. You don't have to do this," I tried to persuade her, but to no avail. She pounced onto me, sliding on a miniskirt. I couldn't move. Even though it was just a 45kg girl on me, I couldn't get up.
WHAT EVIL SORCERY IS THIS!?!
~End of Ling's second flashback~
And many, many more incidents that he would rather not recall.
Wanwan jumped in silent joy, before switching her expression into one of seriousness, and she did her signature jump-into-the-air-and-land-on-unsuspecting-people-to-pin-them-down-move.
In a matter of seconds, Yu Zhong was pinned down onto the ground by Wanwan. Even though I felt certain discomforts after seeing her do that, I tried to ignore it and went to attack Yu Zhong, avoiding my precious Wanwan.
Zilong and I stabbed his Reverse Scale with ease.
And just like that, we defeated Yu Zhong. All thanks to Rick, Wanwan, and everything else that helped.
