Quite a few hours had passed since meeting Asuna, Argo and Lisbeth on the newly cleared floor, Argo had gone off to start rooting around for secrets and other information for this new floor whilst Lisbeth went to find a great spot to set up her portable smithy seeing as she now had first dibs on location, being the first merchant player on the floor she could scout out the marketplace ahead of any other players.

Asuna, despite her interest in the potential cooking quest I had discovered, decided to stick with Kirito for the time being so as not to miss out on any of the Elf War questline that she had been working so diligently on. I promised I'd wait for her to have time before I pursued it and I made my way out to the Field like I always do on a new floor, alone.

Given the promises I made for this floor, I was in no real rush to make my way through this floor. So I've been mapping and recording mob info a lot more diligently than I had been for the past couple floors.

I also saw no reason to rush to deal with the Mid-Floor Area Boss, I doubt any other players would be at a state ready to deal with it any time soon anyways considering they weren't ready for the Boss Room on the last floor.

So, I spent my time out here with half a mind on grinding and maintaining my levelling quota and the other half was admiring the terrain and the scenery... it was rather pretty, like if the Ewok-infested trees of Endor sat above a deep sea saved only by the wide wooden spires that are the trees they hung their homes and bridges from.

I had already gotten to a point where my experience gains were waning, I couldn't possibly have much left to do out here. And then I guess I could have a stroll around town and see about picking up a couple of quests maybe?

*STAB* *SHATTER* - *STAB* *SHATTER* - *STAB* *SHATTER* - *STAB* *SHATTER*

Like they said earlier, I'll definitely be able to breeze through them at my level... well, as long as they require slaying monsters I suppose! A basic fetch quest, whilst boring, will definitely do me good for racking up quests completed on this floor to appease the girls.

[LEVEL UP!]

Ah, well that's that then probably... let me just check:

*STAB* *SHATTER*

Ah, yep. That's the end of these monster's usefulness to me, they didn't even drop any cooking materials... I suppose the devs probably didn't think anybody would want to eat whatever dropped from a gelatinous moss monster... and they're probably not wrong!

The tree sap variant closer to the main town was quite useful though, dropping both a sugar-nectar and a natural oil, I can probably start making some sugary treats with these. Plus, don't some perfumes and other smelly things use natural oils? Not really my area of expertise, but some games allow you to craft perfumes in the same workbenches as you could foods, maybe I can make something like that too? Could be a nice gift idea for a birthday... or to apologise the next time I need to!
