Chapter 32

Hand in hand, Jeongguk led them to the back porch. Excitement was a buzz under his skin as his bare feet met with the cold snow, instantly melting along his foot.

Yoongi shivered violently. "Fuck, it's cold."

Jeongguk laughed, amused, as he let go of Yoongi's hand and stripped faster than ever. The burn of his muscles returned as he landed in the snow on all fours, leaping in the air, mouth open and tongue lapping at the sky to steal snowflakes.

Yoongi snorted. "Please tell me that my shitty vision is deceiving me. Are you actually trying to eat snow?" Jeongguk barked once, wagging his tail. "Unbelievable. Relationship canceled."

Jeongguk huffed, trotting back over and taking a piece of Yoongi's pant leg in his mouth and yanking.

Yoongi yelped, arms flailing as he is suddenly thrown off balance and collapses into the snow.

He groans, eyes narrowing in feigned anger. "Cheeky brat. Get over here!"

Yoongi shoves himself up, and Jeongguk darts away. The pads of his paws easily keep him from sinking in too deeply into the snow while Yoongi was basically knee-deep in it.

Jeongguk huffed, tail wagging happily as he watches Yoongi roll up some snow into a ball and tossed it. Darting after it, he leapt into the air and easily crashed his teeth around it, watching as it broke around him and swallowed the rest as it melted on his tongue.

"It was supposed to to land on you! Why would you eat it!" Yoongi wailed, collapsing back into the snow as he crosses his arms over his chest, and Dear Moon Goddess, was Yoongi pouting?

Jeongguk stopped dead in his tracks, eyes wide as he examined Yoongi's face, and yes, Min Yoongi is in fact pouting.

Heart melting at how adorable Yoongi looked, Jeongguk slinked back and pressed his cold nose against his cheek. Yoongi glanced down, a smirk curling at his lips.

Before Jeongguk could figure out the devilish expression, snow was dumped on his head.

The cold soaked through his fur, weighing him down as he stared at Yoongi in slight disbelief as the human clambered to his feet and grinned.

"Oops? My bad. My hand slipped."

Yeah, right, Jeongguk replied, ears pinning to his head as he narrowed his eyes on the human. Yoongi looked smug, lips curled in satisfaction, arms crossed over his puffed out chest.

Huffing in slight disbelief and amusement, Jeongguk shook out his fur and sent snow flying. Yoongi stepped back, covering his face with snow-covered gloves.

Shifting quickly, he gathered a huge ball of snow as Yoongi lowered his hands and blinked in surprise at seeing him human. He stepped back again as Jeongguk straightened, baring a large snowball within his hands.

"Darling, look, I didn't mean it, honest."

"Really?" Jeongguk teased, testing the weight of the snowball with a mirroring expression of contemplation. He shrugged. "That's too bad... because I mean it."

Yoongi squealed in terror, turning on his heel and darting towards the forest. Jeongguk watched him go, his own smirk twitching at his lips. The wolf in him wanted to give chase, but he held it back.

When Yoongi was just far enough away, Jeongguk dashed through the snow without even feeling the cold. Yoongi glanced over his shoulder, another squeal erupting from his throat as he saw Jeongguk headed straight for him, and felt freezing snow land on his head, dripping down into his jacket.

Screaming at the instant cold that took over his frame, Yoongi collapsed against the snow. He was panting, breathe crystalizing in the air, and Jeongguk fell back to all fours as he trotted over.
