"So, I basically just go around to different places and have people take pictures of me, usually wearing their products and whatnot for money," Seokjin concludes, smiling towards the two wolves. "But now since I am pregnant, I have pretty much resigned because I want to focus more on my life now, I think. On pack."
"Amd Namjoon makes music?" Taehyung speaks up, eyes flickering towards the taller human with shifting bones of excitement. "I love music! I would sneak away with Guk just to listen. Can I hear your stuff soon?"
Namjoon chuckles. "Sure. I don't mind. Yoongi hyung makes music too, though."
Taehyung gasps, betrayal and indignation tightening his features as he yanks his head in the direction of the human. "You make music and you didn't even tell me? Kitten, I am wounded!"
Yoongi growls. "Kitten? I am not a fucking kitten."
"Well," Seokjin drawls, smirking in his confident way. Yoongi scowls at him, a silent warning that he doesn't even bother to obey. "You are kind of a kitten."
"A little mountain lion cub," Taehyung adds from his place on the couch. Jeongguk is muffling his laugh with his hand, and Yoongi just scowls at the entire room. "Aw, so cute, Yoongi."
"I hate all of you and I hope you all choke and die," he grunts, crossing his arms over his chest and leaning back with a pout on his face.
Deciding that they had teased Yoongi enough, they turned back to themselves and they just talk. Talk about things Yoongi couldn't even dare to comprehend, or try. He was too busy just listening to the rumble of voices, all chaotic and loud, bouncing amid his skull. Words that mean things, but he couldn't piece them together.
A steady flow that never faltered or unraveled. They talked about Seokjin, and then Namjoon. Their lives, how they managed to find one another.
"It was all Yoongi's doing, really," Namjoon says easily, nodding his head to his own words. "I was pining for weeks. I would ask about Jin, and how he was doing, and finally he had had enough because he called me to this restaurant but he wasn't even there."
"I was there instead," Seokjin adds, amusement leaking from his voice, "since Yoongi had called me there, and low and behold, the dork who ruined my favorite white shoes was staring at me. He was gaping like a fish, sage and ink so sweet and dripping nerves."
"How did the date go, though?" Jimin asks sweetly, after just learning what the word "date" even means and how he was now demanding that Taehyung take him on a date. A human date, no less.
His mate didn't really seem all that against the idea.
"Terrible," Seokjin laughs, "It was the worst first date in my entire life. Namjoon spilled his coke all over me, and when it was time to order, he broke his plate, and then ended up with a nasty cut. I had to take him to the ER where he kissed me after being loaded with heavy pain meds. He then apologized and said he wanted to kiss something so pretty to make sure I was real."
And they laughed. They laughed and squealed, and Jimin was falling off the couch, and Jeongguk was cackling like a cartoon witch. Namjoon was trying to not laugh, cheeks bright red as he recalled the embarrassment, but failed anyways at Seokjin's squeaky sound of laughter.
And it's easy. Yoongi realizes, distantly, that he doesn't need to see any of their faces. He doesn't even really have the desire, nor the frustration he usually feels when he can't make out their expression.
Because he can feel it. Feel them. Feel the happiness, the bonding of new friends, and the learning of one another.
A whisper that drifts over his skin, a feather. He could close his eyes and just feel Taehyung's boxy smile, so wide that Yoongi could see his white teeth, or the way Jimin's cheeks squish so that there was no amber color to find. Or how Jeongguk's nose scrunches, crinkling like paper, and Namjoon's airy chuckles and dimples that discolor his skin because they are so deep. He could feel Seokjin's squeaky laugh, his sheer joy that blankets the room and brightens them.
