It wasn't long until the whole cabin was awake- well, at least animated.

They settled at the table while spooning mouthfuls of eggs into their mouths and chugging down their coffee. Hoseok was the most exhausted, other than Seokjin himself, but seems to slowly becoming more and more awake.

Dal was still fast asleep, the sling now on Namjoon whose hand was resting along his daughter's back and rubbing it every now and again just to remind himself that she was there. Seokjin was still a bit weak, but ate all his food, and Jimin offered to help him bathe.

"That would be great, Jiminie. Joonie, watch Dal-ah for me," Seokjin says, kissing his cheek and then his baby before following Jimin to the guest bathroom on shaky legs. Namjoon watches him go.

Taehyung takes over the dishes, with Jeongguk by his side reminding him every now and again the proper way to clean them and the Beta listens easily.

Hoseok is leaning back against the chair, cinnamon hair messy and dark circles under his eyes, but the smile he wears is one of tranquility.

It felt nice. There was energy among them. Something that set them all aflame while calming them. It was barely there, hidden amongst the pack bonds, but they could even feel little Dal in the bond.

Hoseok sighs, eyes fluttering closed. "Even when my parents were alive... it never quite felt like this."

"It didn't feel like this during our family pack, either," Taehyung mentions, cutting off the water and leaning against the counter as he sips at his overly sweet coffee.

Jeongguk hums in agreement, sitting next to Yoongi and pressing his shoulder against his own. The action wasn't lost on Yoongi, who eagerly presses his weight back to the younger wolf. Jeongguk smiles knowingly, but doesn't say anything.

"The pack bond is thriving," Namjoon muses, rubbing the now fussy Dal.

Taehyung smiles, leaning back his head and catches Hoseok's tired eyes. "Hey, Hobi." The Beta looks over. "Want to go stretch our legs? You had a long night. I'll run with you. Get some fresh air. You need it."

Hoseok perks up, the idea lighting up his eyes but then uneasily glances towards Yoongi and Namjoon. Guilt was festering there, recalling the conversation that took place merely a couple of days ago.

"Can we?"

Yoongi hesitates, cutting Namjoon a look as the other Alpha meets Yoongi's gaze evenly. Namjoon, seeming to decide, shrugs. "Just remain in the boundaries. If you catch any scent of humans come back immediately."

"Thank you!" Taehyung shouts, already booking it for the back door. Hoseok laughs, but hugs Namjoon and Yoongi quickly before he follows after the younger Beta. The peppermint in his scent was sickly sweet, lingering even after they were already across the forest line.

Watching them go with a pit of worry in his stomach, Yoongi inhales through his nose and then exhales just as loudly. He knows that he can't stop them from being wolves, especially Taehyung. No matter how much the Beta portrays human, he isn't. He is a wolf.

The idea of Yoongi remaining in his own human form, like he hasn't since birth, was enough to make his skin crawl and bones ripple beneath his skin. Being a wolf was freeing, it felt right.

Namjoon seems to understand. He searches Yoongi's features, that knowing glint in his gaze as he purses his lips and looks like he wants to say something. Shaking his head in warning, Yoongi stands and washes off his mug before padding off.

The sound of a bath and whispers from Seokjin and Jimin touch his ears, Jeongguk cleaning up the living room and folding the blankets closer to the laundry basket. Yoongi arches a brow.

"Jeongguk? Cleaning? Gasps!"

Jeongguk snorts, straightening as he brushes his fringe from his eyes. "Ha, ha. Very funny, Yoongi."

"I thought so," says Yoongi, shrugging. Jeongguk rolls his eyes, but gets back to work in picking up the blankets. Walking over, Yoongi runs his finger along the small of Jeongguk's back, the Omega's breath catching as he glances back. "Why are you cleaning?"

"It was messy. Thought I would help, since Mini is helping Jinnie."

"Ah," Yoongi comments, tugging at Jeongguk's oversized black shirt until he straightens. Holding open his arms, he smiles as Jeongguk falls into his arms and snuggles himself closer. "Did you sleep okay?"

"Yeah, after everything. Knocked out pretty good until Hobi's foot was in my mouth."

Yoongi snorts. "I was petting him to get him to sleep until I passed out. What a spoiled mutt, that one."

Jeongguk chortles. "Please. You didn't have to you, you softie. You enjoy petting him, don't even try that."

Deciding to not even try to argue, because Jeongguk was right and the younger knew it, he instead got to work with Jeongguk in cleaning. It was mundane, something so casual and boring but it felt nice.

They worked together in peaceful silence, gently touching one another when they got the chance. Folded blankets, started the laundry, fixed Yoongi's computer desk, and when they were done in the den, they shifted to their shared bedroom which was equally a wreck.

They made the bed together Yoongi making funny faces whenever they lift the blankets, adjust the sheets, and jeongguk would giggle and mimic them back. They made a game of tossing their clothes into the hamper, and carrying it when it was full to the laundry room.

Suddenly, a wave of sheer agony washes over the pack bond. Yoongi gasped loudly, dropping the basket from the force. Jeongguk whimpers, eyes widening, and then another wave of anger, rage, pain, fear, confusion.

It was too much.
