Namjoon didn't seem too convinced, but before he could try and pry, Jeongguk was suddenly there. He was grasping at Yoongi's hand, excitement oozing from his pores.
"Yoongi, can I go play with Jinnie? He said we can go for a run and I can show him some of the mountain!"
Heart swelling, Yoongi glanced behind him where Seokjin was kissing Namjoon happily, seeming excited himself as he told Namjoon that he was going to go with Jeongguk to be a wolf for a while.
He kissed Jeongguk sweetly on the crown of his head. "Sure, darling. Of course, you can. Just- just be careful, alright? Don't get lost."
Jeongguk smiles, pecking his lips. "I'll always come back to you, Yoongi. Always."
Seokjin and Namjoon coo, which causes Yoongi give them both the middle finger salute, earning a cackle from the eldest in the room and Namjoon waves it off with a wink.
"Too cute. Don't make a hissy fit, Yoongichi. It's not my fault that you both are so cute," Seokjin teases, reaching over and pulling the blushing Jeongguk to his side.
Yoongi gave a droll stare but smiled gently at Jeongguk when he caught a single flash of amber.
The four them headed outside to the back porch, Namjoon helping Yoongi settle on the steps as the two wolves tugged off their clothes and shifted.
No matter how many times he watches Jeongguk shift, it always amazed him. The way his skin nearly seems to melt as he crouches but before his hands even hit the ground, he is already a wolf.
Seokjin's change was much smoother, barely even noticeable. One second he was Seokjin, walking stark naked towards the forest, and the next he was just this fluffy buttercream brown wolf.
He was around the same size as Jeongguk was in wolf form, shoulders just a tad broader, but his fur, which for some reason was more fluff and long, made him seem bigger.
But Jeongguk had longer legs, tiny waist, and his ink fur stood stark against the white snow.
Seokjin trotted over to Jeongguk with his tail wagging a mile a minute, tongue lolling out of his mouth as he nuzzles Jeongguk in greeting.
Jeongguk yapped once, shaking out his black winter coat, and playfully nips at Seokjin's ear.
Yoongi couldn't resist smiling as he watches Jeongguk try to entice Seokjin to play, pink tongues lolling, tails wagging, and rolling around in the snow like a pup.
He wondered if this is how he was with Jimin and Taehyung. Constantly playful, looking sweet.
Seokjin seemed unsure of how to play, showing the subtle difference in the way they were raised.
Jeongguk, however, was more than happy to teach him as he tugged at Seokjin's ear and then raced off into the trees. Seokjin huffed, but eagerly ran after him.
Namjoon chuckled from beside him, shifting closer so that their shoulders were pressed together.
"I'm kind of happy that Jin has a new Lycan friend," he remarks, smiling. "It was something that always bothered me. Jin has been pretending to be human so long, that I think he forgets he is a wolf sometimes. He barely shifts into wolf form once a month, and if he is traveling for over a few weeks, he won't shift at all."
Yoongi cuts him a glance, a frown tugging at his lips at the sadness weighing on the younger man's tone. He nudges his shoulder gently, and Namjoon sighs.
"I feel like it's my fault sometimes," he admits after another pause. "He doesn't have a pack back in Seoul, most wolves not living that far away from a forest. I mean, he started out living that way after he left his pack for his job, but when he started dating me it's like... he got so sucked into the human world that he literally will forget he is a Lycan unless I remind him or he goes into heat."
