Hanging up, Seokjin tossed his phone back in the pile of his shredded clothes (something he will worry about later) and marched towards the bedroom door.
Jeongguk remains hovering, and only interferes when he lifts his hand on knock on the door.
Jeongguk growls, amber eyes glowing. "My nest."
Seokjin lowers, his hand, backing up. Jeongguk settles instantly, the threat of his nest over. "Sorry. I need- Omega, may I please enter your nest? I will cause no harm."
Jeongguk hesitates, but finally relents. Seokjin smiles, slowly raising his hand to knock, ensuring that the other Omega doesn't change his mind. He remains still, but watchful, and Seokjin knocks.
"Yoongi-yah? Let me in, please," he calls gently, pleadingly. He listens, sharper ears catching the rustling of blankets but makes no move for the door. "Yoongi-yah, please. At least- at least listen okay?"
Still nothing.
Seokjin swallows. "You're my best friend. In ways that not even Namjoon is. You were always there for me, for Namjoon. You always helped Namjoon and I overcome our differences, never let our fights become something unforgiveable. Even when I drive you crazy, you're there for me. And yeah, okay, you have an attitude and pretend you don't care, and you tease me relentlessly, the same way I do now, and I have always considered you my pack. Someone that I rely on."
Seokjin pauses, feeling tears sting at the back of his eyes.
All these years, Yoongi was a silent protector, someone who was there for him. Even when he had grieved of missing his family pack, Yoongi was there. Holding his hand. Making sure he eats.
"I wanted to tell you. I really did," Seokjin continues, voice strained and tight with emotion. "I almost did a few times, when we were drinking together. Or when you came to me and Namjoon's place. I wanted to tell you."
"Why didn't you?" Yoongi snapped, voice muffled by the door. Seokjin's heart clenched.
"I don't know. I really don't. Fear maybe? Fear of rejection or scaring you off. Fear you treating me differently. I don't know, Yoongi-yah."
And he didn't know. Maybe he just liked how human Yoongi treated, how normal they were as everyday human friends.
Seokjin didn't know.
The door suddenly opened. Seokjin stepped back as Yoongi appeared in the archway, arms crossed over his chest and hazy brown eyes narrowed into slits as he stared at the general direction of his face.
"You're fucking stupid," he hisses, startling Seokjin. "You think I give shit about the fact you can turn into a giant dog?"
"Wolf," Jeongguk corrects, grinning.
Yoongi flashes him a semi-amused smile. "I give a shit about you, not some fucking ability you may or not have. I give a shit about you lying to me all these years. I am your friend. It shouldn't fucking matter what the hell you are."
Seokjin stared at him. Cat eyes narrowed, baby doll lips pouted and pink, and his sugary skin fair and unblemished as ever. Yoongi has never really changed, always pretending to not care but secretly a softie inside.
A slow smile crept on his lips, shoulders curling inwards. "You're right. I'm sorry, Yoongichi. I'm really sorry."
Yoongi sniffed, hazy eyes lingering before he looks away with pink cheeks. "Whatever. Don't call me that."
"You secretly love it, don't you, Yoongichi?"
"Fuck off," he snaps, but there was no real heat behind his words.
"I will kindly fuck on thank you very much," Seokjin giggles, grinning. Yoongi groans, eyes flickering towards Jeongguk. The young omega steps forward, reaching for Yoongi's hand and nuzzling his cheek. "Cute."
"Shouldn't you be somewhere?"
Seokjin shakes his head. "Nope. Joonie is coming here and we are going to celebrate Chuseok together. As a pack. As family."
Yoongi looked taken aback, eyes widening as they flickered back towards Seokjin's face. "What? You... you want to spend Chuseok with me? Joon too?"
"Yes," he says firmly. "If you would like."
Yoongi hesitates. "I... that would be nice, I think."
Before Yoongi could sense what Seokjin was about to do, he swooped down and pulled Yoongi into his arms. The human stiffened, surprise coloring his face that Jeongguk couldn't resist giggling at the bewildered expression.
Pulling away, Seokjin hums and moves to gather the bags of food and put them in the fridge. Yoongi watches as Jeongguk smiles at him, kissing his cheek, before leading him back towards the bathroom.
"You should finish showering, Yoongi. Relax a little."
"Thank you, darling."
