No matter how long Yoongi has lived on top of the mountain, surrounded by nothing but nature and morning bird calls, and the stars that are speckled amid the neverending ink-colored sky, he had never really paid attention to the full moon.

Maybe because even with the pale luminescent light that filtered through the trees, seeming to set the snow on fire in it's unearthly glow, Yoongi could barely make it out. It was nothing more than this fuzzy, distorted shape that hung in the sky.

Another thing that had been torn away.

Standing under it now, hand clasped tightly in Jeongguk's, and the wolves presence a constant warmth, it no longer felt like just a ball in the sky.

Perhaps the Lycan's made it seem magical. The way the glow of the moonlight brushes over his skin, warmth fighting off the cold like a mother's caress. The way he wanted to tilt back his head, letting the full moon light kiss his cheeks and brush his hair.

The forest has never seemed so alive.

The wolves were buzzing. Yoongi could feel the shifting of Jeongguk's bones under his hand, the way they wanted to reshape and take the form of his wolf, and he knew that the others weren't much better.

It was late. Yoongi could tell by the slow crawl of the moon in the sky. How the ball was slowly getting higher and higher, the light more reaching, warmer- heavier. Enveloping them in it's embrace.

Yoongi barely felt the cold from where he was perched on the porch steps, watching with a small smile as Taehyung and Jimin were learning about snow angels and snowmen from Namjoon.

Seokjin was finishing their set up along the back of Yoongi's porch; a small area that has a small table, now covered with plates, soju, wine, beer, and more meat than Yoongi was sure how to deal with.

Jeongguk refused to move from where he was settled next to Yoongi. They were trying to meld together, it seems, and Yoongi happily sank into their melding. Jeongguk's weight against his shoulder, his heat that emitted from his leather jacket that was disgustingly thin despite the below freezing temperatures.

Neither one of them spoke. Yoongi didn't feel the need to, and Jeongguk never tried. He just remained snuggled against Yoongi's side, his smile so wide that Yoongi, himself, felt a smile beginning to split his face.

"I never knew that full moons felt like this," Yoongi murmurs absently, fingers now fiddling with Jeongguk's hand.

"My pack never really did anything to celebrate the full moon," says Jeongguk softly, a frown twitching at his bottom lip. "I always felt like we should, since the full moon represents the Goddess of the Moon. We just didn't, and I never understood why. Jin told me that his pack uses the full moon night as a pack bonding. They get together and run as wolves under her light."

"No offense, but your pack isn't exactly the best example of a healthy pack," Yoongi remarks, pursing his lips.

Jeongguk chuckles, head tilting back and eyes fluttering closed as his features glows from under the moonlight. "I guess not. Not from everything Jin is telling me."

Yoongi hums, eyes returning to the playful forms of Taehyung and Jimin. A chuckle bubbled from his belly when he sees Jimin tumbling around the snow as if he was a puppy, and Namjoon just cackling.

"Did you want to be like Jin?"

Jeongguk cracks open an eye, head tilting. "What do you mean?"

"I mean... get a job. Live in the city. Be more... normal human," Yoongi rephrases, waving his hand vaguely around his cabin with a grimace. "This isn't exactly bona fide human life. This is a reclusive life."
