Hoseok hesitates, then nods slowly before focusing his attention back on Taehyung's back paw. It still hung at an awkward angle, looking like a horror movie gone wrong as Hoseok begins to clean it, flush it out, and then carefully try to fix the skin. He stitches some of the skin back together, and then carefully begins to form a makeshift cast around it.
When he was finished, he wordlessly stands and shuffles to the guest bathroom to clean the blood off his hands and the supplies. Jimin remains by his side, eyes never leaving Taehyung's face.
"He will be okay, Min."
Jimin's eyes flutter closed, huffing through his nose. "I know. I just- I feel bad. For earlier. I don't- I don't know what came over me."
"You mean with Joon?"
"And Jeongguk." Jimin flinches, turning his head away. Yoongi imagined if he was in human form, he would be red and eyes downcast. He already looks like a kicked pup with his tail between his legs. "I attacked my own pack members and Head Alpha."
"Your mate was in danger, Min," Yoongi says quietly, hands clenching by his side. "I take responsibility for that. I am an Alpha, and I was warned that the humans haven't been taking kindly to wolves on the mountain and still I let my Beta's go out, without protection, and-"
Jimin growls. "Did you set the traps, Yoongi?"
"What? No-"
"Then it isn't your fault. It's no one except the humans who think they have the right to whatever land they think they own," Jimin snaps in his head, paw slamming against the wood with finality. "You and Namjoon have done more than enough to protect us, Yoongi. You can't protect us from everything. You can't protect us from death, and you can't protect us from life, either. Don't forget that."
Yoongi scowls, but nods his head. He knows that Jimin is right. He can't do that no matter how much he wants to. Even being a Lycan doesn't guarantee that everything is fixed, and he knew that from the get-go.
Sighing tiredly, Yoongi cards his fingers through his messy silver hair. He was sure he looked like a wreck, and he couldn't really find it in himself to care as he slips into the kitchen.
Namjoon was sitting on one of the chairs, his shirt off and wincing as Jeongguk carefully applies some peroxide to minimal cuts with his eyes narrowed and lips pressed together. His pine scent was sharp, heavy with irritation, and Yoongi sucks in air sharply through his nose.
Seokjin was leaning against the counter, Dal latched onto his nipple and suckling quietly. Worry was creasing his brow, buttercream fringe still damp from the bath that Jimin had given him earlier.
"Who the fuck set up animal traps on my property lines?" Yoongi hisses as soon as Namjoon cracks open an eye to glance at him.
"It could have been anyone, hyung," the Alpha mutters, wincing when Jeongguk dabbed a bit harder at one of the cuts along his waistline from Jimin's claws. The omega mumbles a quick apology, turning back to the kit to get a plaster.
"It's still illegal!" Yoongi snarls, slamming his hand on the counter. Dal whimpers, unlatching from Seokjin. Seokjin narrows his eyes at Yoongi, brow ticking as he shushes her. "Sorry, Dal-ah."
"Illegal or not," Namjoon speaks up tiredly, "it still happened, and unfortunately, I am not really sure what to do about it."
"Call the police?"
"And tell them what, Yoongi-yah?" Seokjin snips. "That, oh, one of my wolf mates now has a shredded leg because of your traps set on my land? Please remove them? Yoongi-yah, you probably aren't even supposed to know about them."
