Deciding to obey, Jeongguk lowered himself onto the toilet bowl as Seokjin faces him, kneeling down and staring blankly towards the bite wound on his collarbone. He damps some gauze and carefully cleans it.
"Your eyes," Jeongguk murmurs, staring at the amber iris with his brow furrowed. Seokjin flickers his gaze to meet Jeongguk's wearily. "They were brown when you came in. Now, they are the right color."
"Contacts."
Jeongguk cocks his head. "Contacts? What are those?"
Seokjin paused in his work, lips tugging downwards. "Do you not know what contacts are?" Jeongguk shook his head. Seokjin licked his lips. "They are this small, plastic film that goes over your eyes. Some to improve human vision and others just to change eye color. I wear brown contact lenses. Look human."
Fascinated, Jeongguk leaned forward. "You can do that? Why would you do that?"
Seokjin sighed, fingers carding through his light-colored hair. "To look human, obviously. Easier to blend in with the crowd." He paused, surveying his frame. "Where did you even come from?"
"The mountain," says Jeongguk, gesturing towards the door with a cocked head. "I came from the mountain."
Seokjin's face sours. "What, like, the top of the mountain?" he presses. Jeongguk nods. "That- but there is no civilization there. No humans. Yoongi is one of the few that live around this area of the mountain."
Jeongguk blinks, confused. "I know. My pack lives on the mountain."
"Lives on it... as what? Wolves?" Seokjin asks, voice tentative and his hand stopping at his work to stare uneasily at Jeongguk. Jeongguk nods again. "You're telling me that your pack, of Lycan's, live as wolves on top of this mountain?"
"Yes? I'm a wolf," Jeongguk states simply, confused.
That has always been his way of life, and his father always told him that being a wolf is something to be proud of.
Seokjin, however, looked slightly horrified. His skin lost its pink, eyes wide, and mouth gaping as he stared at Jeongguk. "I didn't think pack's like yours existed anymore. It's nearly unheard of."
"What is?"
"A Traditional Lycan pack, living as if you were real wolves. Did you never change into human form before?"
"Only once... because my pack mates were curious," Jeongguk admitted, cocking his head. "What is a traditional pack?"
Seokjin shook his head, knocking himself out of his thoughts as he finished cleaning the wounds and checked over how deep they were. Luckily it was nothing too serious, minor scrapes.
"Is your pack not on a mountain? Or forest?" Jeongguk asked.
Seokjin chuckled weakly. "No, sweetheart. My old pack is on the outskirts of a major human city, living everyday lives while getting together once a week to run as wolves. I don't have a pack, just my human."
"Namjoon," Jeongguk says, nodding proudly to himself. Seokjin smiles, cheeks tinting as he stood to examine his own body. "Why don't you stay with your pack? Did they force you to mate with an Alpha?"
"No," Seokjin replies softly, "I left of my own accord. I'm a model- a person who travels to take photos sponsoring products or clothing to display character, essentially."
"I didn't know you could do that," Jeongguk murmurs, conflicted.
Seokjin finished cleaning himself off, wincing at the deeper wound of his wrist, but was otherwise completely fine.
