Jeongguk awakes to the sound of crying.

It was faint, muffled by a pillow, but he could hear it plainly. Peeling open his eyes, Jeongguk blinks away the sleep to stare at the back of Yoongi's head, silver hair splayed across his pillow.

Yoongi was shuffling, whines echoing through his throat, and his eyes were squeezed shut. Tear tracks glinted dully on his cheeks when his head turned, another whimper leaving his throat. Sweat drenched his hair and shirt.

Jeongguk's breath caught in his throat when he realized that Yoongi was having a nightmare. Instantly, Jeongguk started to emit calming pheromones, pushing himself so that he was sitting up and shuffling closer.

Tossing his head, Yoongi whimpers as his hands clench around the sheets and covers. "No, no. Please. It hurts. "

Heart breaking at the terror that made Yoongi's voice tremble, Jeongguk reaches over and touches Yoongi's cheek gently, letting his knuckles follow the curve of his cheek, brushing away the lingering salt.

Yoongi stills, nose flaring as he inhales lungful of Jeongguk calming pheromones. A sigh flutters past his lips, muscles loosening so that they sagged back against the bed and his head tilts towards Jeongguk's wrist where his nose brushed over the scent gland there.

Smiling at the subconscious movement, Jeongguk leans down and pressed his lips against Yoongi's forehead.

"It's okay, Alpha. Omega is here."

Yoongi falls back into a deep sleep.

Jeongguk lingers, just brushing his fingers over Yoongi's cheeks, carding his fingers through his hair as he listens to the steady breathing and soft shuffles as he adjusts in his sleep or follows Jeongguk's hand.

He smiles. "Mountain cat indeed."

Chuckling, Jeongguk inches his way off the bed and tiptoes towards the door. Glancing over his shoulder once more, admiring Yoongi's sleeping face, before he ducks out and pads towards the noise.

Seokjin was still in the kitchen, Jimin by his side as the two spoke in soft tones with one another, Jimin giggling and leaning against Seokjin's shoulder as the food cooked.

Namjoon was sitting on the couch, reading a book and every once in a while looking up to smile towards Seokjin and Jimin before returning to reading his book while looking far too dignified.

Taehyung was sitting on the floor, arms crossed and resting over his knees as he stares up at the TV with a blank expression as some kind of show was on, and Hoseok was sitting nearby, hair fluffy and dry, and his clothing clean and crisp, though a tad too loose because of his gaunt frame.

He looked tired, but happy as he cut glances around the room to examine the other wolves with softening features before returning to look at the TV.

It was such a simple scene. The scent of food, and the wolves scents all meshed together, and it made Jeongguk's gut loosen as he admires it. The cabin felt so full, bursting with new life, and he knew Yoongi loved it. Saw the way his eyes were lit up like the stars as he saw his friends all together.

Taehyung tilts his head back, a boxy grin blooming over his face as he caught sight of the disheveled Jeongguk hovering in the archway. "Gukkie! You're awake."

Namjoon looks away from his book, smiling warmly as Jeongguk pads further into the living room. Hoseok glances over, looking much more reserved and anxious, but the smile splitting his face was genuine.

"Hello, Jeongguk-ssi."

"Um, I don't really know what "ssi" is, so you can just not use it," Jeongguk replies, lowering himself onto the floor, squeaking in surprise when Taehyung wraps his arms around his waist and yanks him closer so that he was practically on top of the Beta. He rolls his eyes but lets him do as he pleases. "But, hi."
