Jeongguk bounded away from where he had Taehyung pinned down (though Yoongi wasn't sure if the Beta let him or he really did) and practically threw himself up the steps to plop into the chair. Jimin perked up from where he was on top of Namjoon, small fingers clutching the human's wrist, and hurried to his feet as he dragged Taehyung along.

Namjoon was the last to force himself to his feet. He was dusted with white snow, shaking slightly, but huried to meet the others as they all settled at the table. Once everyone was seated, Seokjin passed out the food and Namjoon (god help them) passed out the drinks.

Luckily, no accidents occurred, and Yoongi was more than happy to sip at his wine as the two sat back down.

Taehyung sniffed at his shot of soju, nose scrunching as if he had caught whiff of the bitterest plant. He glances back towards Namjoon with pursed lips, straightened to white. "This smells like skunk's ass."

"And believe me, he knows what that smells like," grumbles Jimin, face twisting into a grimace.

Heaving an exasperated sigh, Taehyung turns towards his mate with a pout. "It was one time, Mini! I thought it was a cat!"

Jimin arches a thin brow, lips puckered. "A cat with a black stripes in the exact placement of a skunk?"

"It could happen!"

"No, love, it really doesn't," Jimin retorts, shaking his head. "We live on a mountain. The only cats we get are the kind that can eat us. You can't mistake that."

Pouting, Taehyung slumps his shoulders and peers back at the clear liquid in the shot glass. Amusement was shining on Jeongguk's face as he caught Yoongi's eye, as if they were sharing a secret of some sort.

Clearing his throat, Namjoon twirls the liquid in his own shot glass. "I am sure the smell is less than desirable, and honestly, the taste isn't much better."

"Then why bother drinking it?" Jimin asks, bewilderment clear on his stricken expression.

"The feeling it gives you," Seokjin speaks, placing his hand on Namjoon's knee and smiling sweetly in the direction of the orange-haired. "Alcohol has this effect on people. Us, too. It's hard to explain."

Taehyung doesn't look pleased or convinced. He stares at the drink as if waiting for it to come alive and eat him whole. It was somewhat amusing, especially since Jimin only shrugs and downs the soju without even pausing to breathe.

Brows disappearing behind his hairline, Yoongi hears Namjoon whistle in surprise when the Omega lowers his glass and smacks his lips. "Not too bad, actually."

Blinking in bafflement at his mate, Taehyung scowls before he lifts the soju and attempts to down it in the same manner. The clear liquid splatters everywhere, and he coughs and whines.

Jimin broke into laughter at Taehyung's reaction, face scrunching and lips pursing, and shoving the shot glass as far away from him as he possibly could. Seokjin cackles, Namjoon grinning from ear to ear, and even Yoongi was chuckling but he hid it behind his wine glass.

Jeongguk glances at his own soju glass, eyeing it wearly, before shrugging and tipping it down. His reaction wasn't as bold as Taehyung's, or as anticlimactic as Jimin's, but he downed the bitter drink and set it down with a grimace.

"How Jimin managed a straight face while drinking that is beyond me," the youngest Omega admits, "but it wasn't as bad as Taehyung made it out to be."

"I saw my life flash before my eyes, Guk," the Beta states seriously, eyes glistening. "I thought I was going to die. It's poison."

"Shut up." Jeongguk laughs, tossing a wadded napkin at Taehyung's face. "You can barely handle squirrels, why would I think you could handle human alcohol?"
