"We can't just leave," Taehyung protests, hands clenched tightly in his lap and face meticulously devoid of anything other than careful resentment.

Yoongi glances over towards where the Beta was perched on the loveseat, dark hair fanning over his features, and golden eyes blazing as he met Yoongi's gaze steadily, lips ticked downwards.

Jimin was staring towards the ground, looking the most serious that Yoongi had ever seen him, and it made his heart ache. The Omega preferred being the most happy, tugging Taehyung into his antics.

The Alpha in Yoongi surges at the challenge Taehyung was presenting, eyes boring into Yoongi's, and the Beta seemed to catch it since they finally averted but didn't drop.

"This mountain is our home."

"Tae," Yoongi sighs, fingers fluttering through his hair.

It had been two days since Jisoo had told Yoongi that the humans were aware of wolves presence on the mountain, and in those two days Yoongi was struggling with what to do.

Yoongi wasn't sure what to do with the information that Jisoo had given him. It tumbled around his brain like a dryer, and he knew that Jeongguk knew that something was up. The Omega would cast him curious looks, stopping his play with Jimin if only to stare at Yoongi with questioning eyes.

He smiled and waved him off, turning back to stare out the window with his bottom lip between his teeth and tasting copper in his mouth.

Standing in front of them now, the heat of the fire behind him and the scent of them all together, he felt dizzy. He didn't want to leave this place either; this was his home. The cabin that had saved him from himself, the cabin where he met the love of his life.

How could he leave that?

"Even if we wanted to leave," Namjoon speaks up evenly, head tilting, "we can't. Not right now. Jin is too far along. He could give birth any day. We can't travel."

Yoonig's eyes dart to Seokjin. The Omega was frowning, pointedly keeping his gaze elsewhere. He knew what Namjoon said was right. Already the baby had dropped, he was rounded and hips widened. One glance was enough to know that he was close to giving birth.

"We shouldn't have to travel at all," Jimin says ruefully. "We were here first. This is our mountain. They have no right to take it from us."

"I'm not saying we are going anywhere," Yoongi snaps, a low growl from his chest that snaps everyone's gaze directly back to him with surprise plastered on their features.

Out of all the wolves, Yoongi was the least likely to make such a wolven sound, especially one in the form of a growl.

Even Jeongguk looked taken off guard from where he was leaning against Hoseok's legs, the Beta carding his fingers through his sable hair.

"I agree with you; this is our home. Our mountain. The humans have no right to take it from us," Yoongi concedes after a drawn out pause. He swallows roughly eyes flickering towards the window. "But I also know that we can't just pretend that this isn't happening. We were lucky that Jisoo decided to mention it to me. We have to remain vigilant."

"What are you thinking, hyung?" Hoseok asks quietly, saffron eyes boring into Yoongi's, then averting them just as quickly as Yoongi looks over.

A half smile touches his lips. "They are looking for wolves aren't they? It's simple really. The wolves will just disappear, but we won't."

A spark of anger erupts from Taehyung over the pack bond. Yoongi blinks as Taehyung is suddenly standing, skin tightening as he fought the change. "I will not let some humans dictate when I can be what I am. I am a wolf, Yoongi, and I won't let them change that. I can't just- not be a wolf."
