Chapter 35

You quickly ran up into your room and started packing again. After you finished, you ran back downstairs. "Y/n dear? Where are you going?" Your grandma asked. Your grandpa walked over to the both of you. "I got a letter from lady Tsunade, the hokage of the leaf village. It seems they need me back there for some reason. Something terrible has happened so i'm going back. Don't worry, once i'm finished over there, i'll come back to continue my training." You quickly explained. "Okay then. Your training will be on a pause. Be quick with your buisness there. If for some reason you can't, you send a letter back to us alright?" Your grandpa says. "Alright, i will! Be back soon! Thank you so much!" You said running out the door.

*timeskip when you're back in the leaf village*

You ran into the hokage office panting. "What is it lady Tsunade?" You panted. Kakashi and Sakura were also in there coincidently. They all looked at you sadly. Lady Tsunade sighed and looked directly at you. "I regret to inform you that your parents have been murdered. Rogue ninja infiltrated the leaf and killed your parents. We didn't know about your parents death until Kakashi here went to visit them. I'm sorry for your loss." Lady Tsunade said. Your smile on your face slowly faded away as you let the information sink in. "What? No....you're lying. You have to be. What type of sick joke is this?" You said stepping back. "I'm so sorry Y/n." Kakashi said. You ran out of the room, ignoring their calls. You quickly ran outside and ran to your house. You got closer to the house and saw yellow caution tape wrapped around your door. You slammed the door open to see blood splattered everywhere and a chalk outline to where you assumed your parents died.

You felt a hand on your shoulder. Kakashi stood beside you. "Let it all out, Y/n." He said gently. You broke down in tears, falling to the floor. You started sobbing loudly. Your sobbing turned into screaming out in sadness, pain and anger. Kakashi looked at you with tears in his eyes. He never seen you like this. He hoped he never had to see you like this at all. Sakura, Tsunade and Shizune stood outside of your house, listening to your broken sobbs and screams. "Why would you leave me?! Sasuke just left me and now you left me! Why?!....Why?!" You screamed. You started sobbing again. Tsunade and Shizune walked away sadly. Sakura looked at your worridly. 'I'm so sorry Y/n.' Sakura thought as tears also formed in her eyes. She sadly walked away soon after.

Your sobbs died down and now you were sitting against the wall with Kakashi who stayed with you. "Kakashi, could you please send out a letter to my grandparents? Tell them i won't be coming back for a few weeks or less and tell them about my parents. I want some time for myself to mourn, and i would also like for a funeral to take place for my parents." You said with a plain look plastered across your face. "Of course. Take care of yourself and eat though. Me and Sakura will check up on you everyday." Kakashi said. You hummed out in agreement. Kakashi walked out of your house and closed the door gently. You got up an hour later and walked into your parents room. You got kicked off your shoes and went into their bed, falling asleep after crying.

You woke up in bed and had no motivation to get up. You wanted to stay there all day. So you stayed in bed until you heard a knock on your bedroom door. The door opened to show Sakura. She sat down on your parents bed and tore the blankets off of you. She pulled you up and hugged you. "I'm sorry about your parents. I hope you feel better. Go take a shower while i clean your house." Sakura says leading you to the bathroom with some clothes. You took a long warm shower. You cleaned yourself and then sat down, lost in thought. You heard a knock on the door. "Y/n? Are you alright? You've been in there for almost 30 minutes." Sakura says worridly. "I'm fine." You said plainly. You got up and turned off the shower. You got dressed and blow dried your hair. You brushed your teeth and went downstairs to see Sakura prepared breakfast for you and cleaned all the blood off your house walls.

"Go eat." She said. You nodded and sat down. You ate slowly. "What time did you get here?" You asked. "I got here at 9:00." She said. "That's a bit early don't you think?" You said blankly. "Yeah, but i need to make sure you're okay. If i didn't come, you would've stayed in bed all day." She said. "Yeah. That sounds nice." You said finishing your food. You put the dish in the sink and slumped down on the sofa. "How long are you staying here?" You asked. "All day long. I have to take care of you and keep you entertained." She said sitting next to you. "Well, it's gonna be a long boring day with me." You said. "We can find something to do. You can clean out your parents room and should find stuff you want to keep of theirs." She said. "Fine then." You say standing up. You walk into your parents room and open their closet. You and Sakura spent the rest of the day cleaning out their giant closet until you found something you wanted.

You actually wanted to keep everything but you couldn't bring it with you everywhere. It was best to keep one thing. "Y/n, i found a nice long brown trench coat. I'm sure it would look good on you if it weren't so big." Sakura said. You turned to her and saw her holding a big brown trench coat. You walked to it and held it. "I guess this'll be the thing i'm keeping. I'll wear it when it'll fit." You said. You folded it neatly and put it in your backpack you brung. You and Sakura put all the clothes away and cleaned the closet. "Hey, Sakura? Did Kakashi tell you when the funeral would take place?" You asked. "Yes, it would be next week i think." She said. "Okay. After the funeral i'll leave to go back training. I don't want to stay here too long." You said closing the closet. "Right after the funeral?" She asked surprised. "Yes. Right after the funeral." You answered.

*timeskip*

You were standing with Kakashi and many other ninja who knew your parents. Guy sensei, Kurenai sensei, Asuma sensei, Iruka sensei and other friends of your parents cried and stared sadly during the funeral. You on the other hand stared emotionlessly during the whole thing. Soon, people started to leave. But before they did, they gave you a hug. "You have my condolences." Guy said hugging you. You nod and hug others who came. Soon enough, you and Kakashi were the last ones there. It was surprising, Kakashi was one of the first to be there. He was early for once. You both stood in silence.

"When are you leaving?" He asked. "Today." You replied. "That early?" He asked glancing at you. "I have to see how my grandparents are. They haven't seen my parents in years, so i'm sure the news must have hurt them. And i also have to get back training." You say. "That's a wise choice." He said. Slience filled the air once more. "So, until next time?" He said breaking the slience.

"Yeah. Until next time. Take care of yourself, Kakashi." You said swinging your bag over your shoulder. "And tell lady Tsunade i left." You said. You began walking away. "Right." He said, still standing at their grave. When you left and when no one was around, that's when Kakashi let out his tears. "You were all i had left, M/n. Maybe next time. I'll make sure to take care of Y/n. For you and F/n." He lowered his head down, shoulders shaking with every sob.
