Chapter 48

*second person p.o.v.*

While running, Sai also came along saying he was looking for Naruto. You ran through the forest and entered a large field. You ran over to see Naruto on the ground with someone standing abkve him with his arm up. He had monks clothing and blue hair. "Die!" (Okay Bakugo 🙄) You heard him say. "Enough, Sora!" Lord Chiriku shouted. You jogged over to Naruto and helped him up. You dusted him off and stood beside Sakura. "It was just as you worried, lord Chiriku. On the way to pick up the guests, i became concerned about the hidden tomb and came to have a look. And the barrier had already been broken, the coffin stolen, and this guy was there." The boy called Sora explained. "Are you trying to lay your crime on me?! You're the one who's the culprit!" Naruto said glaring at Sora.

"What're you talking about?! You were the one who was in the hidden tomb first!" Sora said shouting. "The coffin was already gone when i got there!" Naruto shouted back. "Who can corroborate that?!" Sora shouted. "Who can corroborate your story?!" Naruto shouted. "I'll give you the retribution you deserve, you jerk!" Sora yelled. "Why don't you just try it?!" Naruto provoked. "I'll just do it!" Sora yelled. "I won't give in!" Naruto yelled back at Sora. Yamato grabbed the back of Naruto's shirt while lord Chiriku did the same to Sora. You rubbed your temples in a soothing way and sighed. "Please, calm down. I have a headache." You said. Sora looked at you and blushed a deep shade of red. "Sorry, Y/n. It was this guy here who started it! He was the one who caused your headache!" Naruto said pointing at Sora. "No, what are you saying?! It was you who started it and caused her headache!" Sora shouted back.

"Enough!" Yamato and lord Chiriku shouted at the same time. Naruto and Sora went quiet but kept glaring at eachother. "Leaf ninja, as you may know, my name is Chiriku of the fire temple. We missed eachother due to a mistake in the rendezvous location. I'm terribly sorry for this misunderstanding." Lord Chiriku bowed. "What?! This guy's one of the guests? And he's with the hidden leaf?" Sora asked. "Then...this guy's...." Naruto turned to Yamato. All Yamato did was nod. "His name is Sora. He is a trainee monk of the same fire temple." Lord Chiriku explained. "Sora, huh? My name's Yamato and i am the captain of this team. This is Naruto and..." Yamato trailed off. "I'm Sakura Haruno." Sakura said. "My name's...Sai." Sai smiled. "Y/n. Y/n L/n." You said. Sora turned to lord Chiriku. "I told you we don't need any help from the likes of the hidden leaf." Sora said. "Sora!" Lord Chiriku said. Two monks ran over and panted.

"Lord Chiriku! There's no a shred of evidence and lord Kitane's coffin have all been taken! The barrier was broken with great skill....and we believe it was a shinobi of considerable power." One of the monks explained. Lord Chiriku sighed. "If the enemy is a shinobi of great ability, then it was worthwhile summoning the people from the hidden leaf." He said. He turned to the monks. "Head on back and arrange to have skilled individuals to guard the three other hidden tombs! And tighten security around the fire temple in preparation for a potential emergency." Lord Chiriku ordered the two monks. The two monks nodded and gave a yes sir before heading back to the fire temple. "You guys head to the fire temple for now." Lord Chiriku said. "Understood." Yamato said and nodded, turning to team 7.

You walked up on the stone stair steps that lead to the fire temple. Naruto walked up to Sora and asked him something. 'Grave robbery? Lord Kitane? Someone must be robbing the guardian shinobi 12's hidden tombs. No wonder it's so special. Lord Chiriku and Asuma sensei are also part of the guardian shinobi 12.' You thought. Naruto walked back to you and sighed. After some time walking up the steps, you had finally made it to the top. You looked back at Naruto to see him gaping at the fire temple. "I've seen this before....in my dream." You heard Naruto mumble. Naruto shook his head and continued to walk up the stairs. When he made it to the top, you saw Sora trip Naruto and hold his arm out as if he was saving Naruto. Before Naruto fell, you grabbed ahold of him and pulled him back. You walked up to Sora. "Please refrain from hurting my teammate." You said politely. Sora averted his eyes away from you. "Y-yeah, sure." He mumbled.

Naruto that was still in your grasp tried to claw at Sora. "You jerk! I'll kill you!" Naruto shouted. Sora ran to Chiriku and you held him back. "Naruto, the same goes for you. Please stop trying to hurt Sora." You said to the mad Naruto. "Damn him, damn him, damn, him, damn him, damn him!" Naruto repeated to Sora who was walking away waving in apology. "Okay, okay, my bad." Sora said walking through the fire temple gates. "I'll kill him. I'm definitely going to kill him." Naruto mumbled. "You'll recieve devine punishment if you do." Yamato told Naruto. You let go of Naruto and walked through the gates, needing to walk up more stairs. "It sure took you guys long enough." Sora said.

"Man, he sure has got some attitude." Sakura said looking at Sora who was walking away. "That jerk!" Naruto said. Lord Chiriku walked team 7 over to 3 other monks and introduced you all. "Hello, i'm captain Yamato." Yamato bowed. "This is, Y/n, Sakura, Sai and Naruto." Yamato said. "From the leaf? That is indeed reassuring." The elder monk said. "That's right! Just leave it to us!" Naruto smiled. "We are prepared to move out whenever necessary." Yamato said. "Either way, you won't have to until we hear from the shinobi monks." Lord Chrirku replied. "Until then, please come this way." Lord Chiriku said leading you all inside the fire temple.
