"That new suit looks good on you" Sam said with a little smirk before sitting down beside you.

"One of the last gifts I got from Tony" you said lightly looking down at it. On a quick glimpse the suit looked like a basic spy suit, but it was in the details. Every part of it was specially made for you, with the highest quality of fabric and materials, but what made it truly special was the design of it. A thin red line was running through the different sections of the suit, like veins. The same shade of red he would have on his armor. You didn't really know if he did it intentionally, but you liked to think that he wanted you to have a memory of him whenever you fought.

"I'm sorry I didn't say anything about the new Captain America

"I'm sorry I didn't say anything about the new Captain America."

"Y/n, I'm honestly glad you didn't. I rather don't think about it." he replied quickly.

You tried to read his eyes, but you couldn't really figure out if he truly meant it or if he was putting on a brave face. You shrugged. "Okay, however I have one question." you asked before adding "We have one super soldier with a vibranium arm, and you can fly. You guys remember I'm just an agent, right?" you asked and for the first time looked over at James since you came on the plane. "Okay, let's just ignore your insane combat skills and the fact that we work as a team" Sam said with a laugh.

James didn't even blink an eye. This was the first chance the both of you had time to talk with each other, but honestly you didn't even know where to begin or if you really wanted to. Afraid that it could open up long forgotten wounds between the two of you. It would require you to be vulnerable and that's nothing you really liked to be. James seemed to be annoyed by what Sam just had said as he was making minor faces.

"I'm sorry Buck, but that's how it works here." Sam said as he stood up and got ready.

"You're not allowed to call me that."

"That's what Steve called you?"

You took the batons from your back and stood up as you were getting ready.

"Steve had a plan," James said.

"I have a plan." Sam said as the two of you walked towards the open flight door "So what's the plan then?" James asked as he followed us, but it was already too late for Sam as he left the question up in the air. James looked at your batons with a confused expression. "Are you gonna tell me what the plan is?" he said walking towards you. You secretly knew that Sam had no strict plan other than wanting to gather information on what the Flag Smashers were doing. James didn't look like a person who would be happy with such a simple answer, so you just hold it in. "You're gonna have to find your own way down James" you chuckled. You hit the batons against each other and jumped out.

This wasn't normal batons, it was unique Stark tech. You were not allowed to use your powers, but nobody had told you that you couldn't alter your knowledge about them to your weapons. With a simple move the batons would alter the magnetic field between each other and create a reaction of vibrations. This was one of the many features they had. Unlike most of the weapons you owned, you had made these all by yourself, with material from Stark. You were meters away from the ground as you formed an 'x' into your chest and then threw your arms straight out, causing the vibrations to slice through the air as you safely hit the ground.
