"What do you want?" He asked, not a single emotion coming through his voice.

Oh, you liked this. Ross now understood that this was no longer about you asking for a favor or trust, you came here with demands and even before the two of you talked, you knew he would have to give in. Really, you were the one with the power in this situation and now that was made clear for him as well. You had worked hard to get in this situation. This couldn't even be considered blackmail, not after what his institute had put you through. You had no issue asking or rather taking what you wanted, not from him. You smiled weakly at him.

"Let's start with the obvious ones first, the raft will instantly stop their production of this anesthesia. You will work together with Charles Xavier helping the mutants you have on the drugs to recover. You will also work with Charles to find an ethnically balanced way to treat mutants at the raft and of course, my personal demand, the man in charge of the mutant department gets fired," you said easily.

Ross looked away. These things may seem like easy steps, and he knew he had no choice than to do as you said. Not only because he had to because of your threat, but also because he knew it was the right thing to do. The anesthesia had been a secret, and it's been highly controversial ever since it first came out. Personally he had voted against it, but he wasn't the only one making the decisions. What was probably gonna be a bigger issue in his circles was working together with Charles Xavier. Yes, sadly working with mutants was still controversial, even if they were highly smart and well educated, but if they could accept a toxic controversial anesthesia then they could also accept working with Charles to fix their nods. "Fine, what more?" he asked.

"I wanna work for you. You're gonna make a team, which I will lead. I, and only I, will choose my team members. You can come with recommendations, but I make the final decisions. We will work under your name or the government, with your economic support. All, and I mean everyone who gets accepted to the team will be free to live their life openly, no more hiding, unless that's what the members want. If anyone does anything over the line, privately or on a mission, they are out... but lastly, my trail... I simply just want it to be fair. I know how you and other government officials interfere, but I need you to make sure that will not be the case with my trail. If the jury concludes I should get imprisoned, I will, but if they don't... I don't," you said and were really clear with every point you made. Ross smiled weakly and reached out his hand.

"Deal," he said, his tone strict, but clear. You smiled back as you took his hand, shaking it.

"Deal."
