It's been five days since your meeting with Thunderbolt. If you were being honest with yourself, you had no clue what the heck you were doing. Yes, you offered the deal but is the main purpose of it was to get Zemo back without having to give up the rest of your life. Though you didn't have to give up too much, you found yourself lost in an office, filled up with people in fancy dresses and suits. They all screamed at you, telling you who you were, what you should do and be. It was media prep and marketing ideas. Everything you could imagine. You see, being a former criminal, turned good by Tony Stark, fighting with the Avengers, being a mutant and daughter of Magneto, made the media go wild. The kiss with Zemo didn't help either. Were you good? Were you bad? Nobody had any idea, but everyone had an opinion about you.

It was only 30 min until you and Ross were gonna hold a press conference, making your new agreement official. You would lie if you said you weren't nervous. You knew this time you couldn't ignore their questions and answer in your own way. It was truly time, for better or worse. It was only gonna be journalists there, no Zemo to calm you down. You only had to think you did this for him. You couldn't help but wonder what he was gonna think when he heard this on the radio. You looked down at your own hands. You were wearing a white turtleneck with a grey oversized suit. They had tried to change your clothes multiple times to make them more "friendly" and "feminine", so the audience could relate to you, but you were stubborn and we're gonna wear what you wanted to wear. Until now, most people had liked you for being you, so at this press conference, you were not gonna change.

"Okay, I think Y/n understands what you are saying and she agrees, but you have to give her more freedom to be herself

"Okay, I think Y/n understands what you are saying and she agrees, but you have to give her more freedom to be herself. ?"  Murdock says and looks down at you, snapping you out of your own thoughts. You look up at him, a bit confused as you didn't exactly follow their conversation. Matt was here to protect your own interests, and honestly, you were very thankful for his help.

"She clearly doesn't, she doesn't care about how she appears, she doesn't pay attention and she doesn't remember one thing we have rehearsed for the press!" One of the angry press people yelled at you in anger. You rolled your eyes and laid your hands on the glass table and stood up...

"I agree, I'll do all the press junkets you want me to do, but Ross promised me I was in charge, meaning I'm gonna do this on my own terms. I'll wear what I want, and I'll be honest and say what I want. It's gonna be your job to fix it when I go over the line, so have fun with that" You said with a smile over to the man that seconds ago had yelled at you. This simple guy was just doing his job so you didn't feel like you could blame him. He started to whisper to his co-workers in annoyance. You ignored it and looked over at the security woman by the door.

"I and Murdock are ready to meet Mr. Ross," you said, fixing your suit jacket. She gave you a nod. You looked up at Matt who stood right beside you with a little smirk on his lips. You laughed low before you went over to the lady following after her.

Lucky for you, you weren't holding any speeches or anything, you were here solely to support Ross and then answer questions. You had nothing rehearsed in, or guess you had from when they tried to teach you, but those were no good answers. They weren't even written in your language. These media specialists weren't even trying to level with you, it was ridiculous. The women-led you to the waiting room where Ross already stood, in a black classic suit. You smiled and walked over, giving him a firm handshake.

"Hello boss," you said with a charming smile.

You had spent the last five days together with this man, laying the ground for the work you were about to present to the work. Planning where the base would be, rules, what you should be looking for when you were getting your team members, everything you could've thought of. Ross had his flaws, but he had the money and he wasn't too bad to be around, so you were willing to look past his flaws. He laughed low and clapped you on the shoulder.

"That's the smile you should give the cameras out there," he said and pointed down at you.

"Well, I have to rehearse it," you said with a smile before moving to the side, allowing Matt to step up.

"Mr. Ross, nice to meet you again," Matt said, shaking his hand.

"Murdock," Ross simply said back with a smile.

The guys started to talk about Ross's speech, but you found yourself over with the water boiler, making yourself a cup of tea. Your father would always give you tea when you were little and got stressed. He thought that it relaxed you, and maybe it did, cause now that you're older you found yourself doing the same. You carefully took a sip of it. Lemon and ginger were never wrong. It was warming up your voice. This was better preparation than what those media specialists offered you.

"We are ready for you, please follow me," a security guy said as he held up the door for the three of you. You put down the cup disappointed that you didn't get more than a little sip before you had to leave. You crossed your arms as you followed them behind the scene.

"I'll be on the first line, you gonna nail this" Matt said with a smile before he left.

You looked up at Ross with a laugh and shook your head as they started to mick the two of you up. You had to admit, you had been impressed by how much Ross was willing to listen to you these last days. This was the guy that stood behind the Sokovia accords but guesses this is different as this is gaining himself. He was just like every other man out there. He gave you a nod before the two of you walked on the little stage they had built. He walked to the front as you placed yourself in the back. You looked out at the journalists, smiling at them as you waved your hands out to them. It had to be around 100 people here, ready with their phones, cameras, pen, and paper. The blitz was going wild until Ross started to talk.

"Hello. Today we're here to announce a new exciting initiative. I'm pleased to see so many shows interested in this, as this is a very personal project to me," Ross led.

"The last year has shown us the world needs all the superheroes we can get. The world is a strange place, and we need to be prepared for what's to come. I'm a firm believer in the law, but also of second chances. A friend of mine said it well, she is not here for her past, she is here to change her future... This friend is Miss. Y/n Lehnsherr," Ross said, looking back at you with a little smile on his lips as he continued.

"Miss. Y/n Lehnsherr are today working together to change the future for the better. I'm glad to announce a new initiative of superheroes called 'The Thunderbolts.' The project is led and financed by me. The Thunderbolts will be an untraditional team of heroes, unlike anything the world has ever seen. It will be a team of enhanced beings, with a criminal or so-called villain in the past, working together for the safety of our planet."

"The team will be led by Y/n Lehnherr, and in the upcoming weeks, she will work and find potential candidates to join her team. I have full trust in Y/n Lehnsherr, and I can't wait to work properly with her. With that being said, I want y/n to join me by my side as I open up for questions," he said with a warm smile as he gave you room.

Guess it's your time to shine.
