Why was this man so irritating? Didn't he understand that when you choose to stay in the living room instead of walking to the party that maybe, just maybe you wanted to be by yourself? You leaned back in the coach thinking if you wanted to play it cool or not. You took another sip of your glass and stayed quiet.

"Okay, so you were a bounty hunter before Tony picked you up?" he continued trying to get your attention. You smashed your glass on the table and stood up, walking towards the dressing area, holding a tight grip to the whiskey bottle. Your fingers ran through the clothes, while you were sippin on the whiskey. Zemo talked earlier about having to meet a few lowlifes and you were now serving him exactly that. If he couldn't give you a break, he had to see this side of you as well. You found a two piece, all in black when you felt Zemo's hand holding yours putting it back on the racket. You looked back at him confused. He stood right behind you, leaving a maximum of 10 centimeters between your bodies, but you were too tired to fight him on it so you didn't mention it.

"You should be more colourful" he said with a smile and turned to look at the clothes. He didn't seem impressed with Sharon's collection. "Doesn't really fit the job description" you snapped back. He took out a pair of high waisted red trousers and a red sweater. It was nice and not impractical, which honestly surprised you coming from Zemo.

"Well, neither does kissing the prisoner, but you seem good at breaking the rules" he said with a soft smile looking down at you

"Well, neither does kissing the prisoner, but you seem good at breaking the rules" he said with a soft smile looking down at you. Woah, so now the guy got jokes? Or maybe it was the alcohol that made him tolerable. You punched him lightly on the shoulder "Nice one, I see what you did there" you said looking over at him. You noticed that he hadn't change clothing himself, but instead of being like him, you didn't ask about it.

You put down the bottle after taking a long sip. You locked your eyes at him as your hands went slowly to the back of the dress unzipping it. You tilted your head and let the dress fall to the floor. His mouth formed an 'o'. He tried to look at your face, but every now and then his eyes would fall down at your body. You smiled weakly. So this was all that was needed to make this man speechless. He may think he played you earlier, but he was as much interested in you as you were in him. You tilted your head back before taking the trousers out of his hands.

"Me and Sam are friends" you said with a little smile on your lips. "I didn't get snapped. When I was not with Tony, work was my best friend. Sometimes I worked together with close friends of Sam." you said and buttoned your trousers "Steve Rogers and Natasha Romanoff?" he asked. This time when he asked it seemed to come from a genuine place, it didn't feel like a questionnaire anymore "Don't forget Rhodey." He smiled and nodded "Of course" he corrected himself. "Steve talked about Sam all the time, so when I finally met him, I already kinda felt like I knew him" you said almost nodding to confirm to yourself what you just said "Then when Steve left, he told Sam about me I guess." you mumbled. Sam never told you about it, but you understood it from the second you met that it was more behind your meeting then what caught the eye. You stared out in the air for a while searching carefully for your next words. "And you know people like us.." you started, but immediately regretted the words you had chosen. You took a deep breath and tried again.

"People like me, we don't have normal human interactions, we don't form any relationships. We are primitive in that sense. Sam understands that... We fill up that lack of intimacy most get in relationship with comforting each other.." you admitted.

You snapped out of it, surprised at how honest you were for a second. You grabbed the top he had picked for you out of his hands and took it on you.  Zemo tilted his head and opened his mouth carefully "I don't think that's true." You smiled weakly at him before you grabbed your bottle and took a sip.

"Good that your thoughts don't matter then." You whispered, but knew he got every word of it. You walked over to the little bar corner and placed the bottle there before you looked back at Zemo

"I believe they have cocktails at the party" you said lightly as the two of you went for the bar inside of the club.

The music was loud, but you liked it. You couldn't hear your own thoughts in a room like this. You came to the front of the bar and got the attention of the bartender. You didn't even ask what Zemo wanted, you just ordered two glasses of whiskey for the two of you.

"You know since you are a baron and all that, you gonna have to pay for the drinks" you said with a little smile leaning your back at the bar counter. He gave you a short laugh "So that's what our relationship will be based of?" he asked back with a smirk. "Oh yeah, sugar daddy" you said ironically and turned around to take the drinks while he paid for it. You gave him one of the glasses and studied him as we lifted the glass and took a sip from it.

"So now that I spilled some tea, are you gonna give me anything?" you said with a playful tone.

"Oh, so we're gonna act like you haven't already read all the existing files on me and all my relatives?" he said with a smirk and walked closer to you. You looked up at him and laughed "Good point, but you must have something that's not in the files."

"Like what" Zemo smiled and moved from being on your side to be standing right in front of you.

"Don't tell me that you are only here out of good will, what's your agenda?" you asked and cut to the chase of it. You enjoyed your conversation earlier, but you didn't trust him a single bit. You knew guys like him. Some of them were good, some not and you were pretty sure that Zemo fell into the last category.

"Aren't you a  smart little bird." he said, almost impressed.

"I meant what I said, I don't intend to leave my work unfinished." Zemo said staring at your face. You could see how hard he tried to read you, but you were blank as you drank up and put the glass back on the bar counter.

"Okay."

"You don't believe me, do you?" Zemo said to you and tried to get your attention again, but your eyes were glued on a different man at the club. You had taken notice of how James had stood in the corner, looking over at the two of you for a while. You looked back up at Zemo and stole his drink. "Oh, no. I definitely believe you." you said ironically as you drank up his drink and gave it back to him.

"Sorry, I have to go and talk with James"  time to put the big girl pants on, and do as Sam said, talk it out.
