You came back home to your apartment, carefully entering your apartment, making sure to not wake up Zemo. You took off your shoes, jacket, and beanie as you quietly walked towards the bed.  You wanted so badly to just lay down in his arms, but you had more work to do. You leaned down and picked up the toolbox. You looked down at him, simply admiring him for a couple of minutes. Zemo looked so beautiful, even when he was asleep. You shook your head, grabbed a glass of whiskey, and sat down by the kitchen counter.

This was a psycho plan and if you really got to pull it through you would never step down from your high horse. You had spent hours at Matt's arguing, and even if he said the plan technically works, he said he was sure it would fail. Why might you ask? Cause even if you had leverage on Ross, you needed something more, something to offer him. Ross needed to want Zemo out of the prison for the plan to work. If not, somebody over Ross level would just boss him again. You spent hours doing research, and it was especially one thing you couldn't let go of.

John Walker. He had been disbanded and stripped of all his privileges as he of course should have been, but what you couldn't wrap your head around was how he still was a 'free man.' Legally he should've been imprisoned for committing a war crime on foreign soil. Yes, this country was messed up, but this felt wrong. Somebody must have done something for the government to so easily give him up. You spent hours upon hours, researching every angel and fell asleep on the kitchen counter.

You were sleeping, but your head kept spinning. You only wanted to make sure you had the possibility for the two of you to spend more time together. You didn't even care if you got him out and he didn't wanna be with you, the most important thing was to have the possibility. You liked him, and deep down you thought you might even love him. You needed to make sure that he was safe and happy, that's what you do for your loved ones. You suddenly woke up to the alarm on the phone. You immediately grabbed your phone and took it off, but before you could jump to bed and act as nothing had happened, Zemo had already woken up by the alarm and realized you weren't in his arms.

"Y/n what are you doing in the kitchen now?" He asked, his voice deep and raspy, Gosh, you loved his morning voice You leaned your head in your hand smiling innocently.

"I woke up early to work, reading up on the GCR. I am a bit nervous about the undercover job" you lied, but you took on your spy mood, not giving off any hint of you lying. You couldn't tell him anything about your little side mission. If Zemo got any clue about what you were doing you knew he would try to stop you. He wouldn't let you risk anything for him, but this was your choice, not his.

He groaned low in annoyance as he stood up, only wearing his boxers. He looked out the window for a second before he slowly walked over to you. You were still on your phone when he turned your chair around. He took the phone out of your hand and placed it on the kitchen counter behind you. He wrapped his hands around your waist and leaned into you. He tilted his head as a tired smile appeared on his face.

"You have nothing to worry about," he said and leaned into your lips, kissing your soft lips. He leaned his forehead against yours, simply taking his time staring into your gorgeous eyes. He easily lifted you up from your high chair and up on the kitchen counter. He hid his face down in your neck.

"Our first mission was undercover, do you remember, little bird?" he whispered as he started to kiss your neck.
