"What the hell are you talking about y/n?" Sam yelled over to you. You altered the field around Sharon, making sure she couldn't make a move. You looked over at Zemo and gave him a nod as he went on to your phone, slowly walking towards you.

"Sam! Sam... It's no.." more couldn't she say before Zemo played off the conversation they had earlier.

Sharon knew she had lost. No matter what she said, it was no, zero chance for her to get out of this. Sam went from looking at you in annoyance to confused. The second he heard Batroc join the conversation calling her the Power broker he finally collected all the pieces. He looked over at Sharon, his eyes cold. She had tried to get him killed. Maybe she knew Batroc would fail, but it didn't change the fact that she had ordered him dead.

"Stop Y/n, I've heard enough. Sharon, you are going to prison, together with your colleges" Sam said, hinting to Karli and Batroc. You could see that he struggled to keep his emotions attacked, and you couldn't judge him for it. Sam thought Sharon was his friend, or at least an ally. He had spent so much time defending her, for nothing. He chose to not believe you because he thought he knew Sharon. You looked down at the ground, unsure if you had any way to make anything better for Sam, but this wasn't it. This was his turn to command you, and he knew that. He walked towards a knocked-out Karli and picked her carefully up in his arms.

"I'm gonna bring her down, you bring Sharon and Batroc," Sam said strictly as he walked towards the window. You looked after him confused.

"How am I supposed to do that? Batroc is way too heavy!" You yelled, looking over at Batroc who was still bleeding. You shook your head.

"Y/n use your god damn powers and follow me, Zemo can go and meet Bucky downstairs" Sam yelled back as he flew out the window.

You looked back up at Zemo. This was the moment you realized that he would soon be following the same path as Karli, Sharon and Batroc. It made you wanna throw up, but you knew you had to keep it together. He saw that you were struggling. He gave you a weak smile and ran off, trying to make it easier for the two of you. Zemo understood that by flying out the window with two criminals meant that Sam wanted you to meet the press, therefore he knew he couldn't exactly fly with you. You altered Batroc's body and started to push them as you walked towards the window. The windows were too little, so you did what you had to, smashing the wall down before you flew out. The two criminals were talking and yelling, but you were only focusing on breathing. The whole world was watching as you flew down and landed carefully.

"I promise you, this won't be the las..." Sharon started as the law enforcement came running for us. They laid Batroc on an ambulance and took Sharon in handcuffs. You smiled weakly and crossed your arms.

"I know," you said relaxed. Sharon was not the one you were nervous about, you knew that you could handle her in the future. You turned around.

Cameras were blinking from every angle. It was impossible to not feel overwhelmed. Every step felt so heavy you were afraid to sink through the ground. The mess of voices came closer and closer as microphones came running up towards you. You felt your pulse raise. You couldn't sort out the different voices from each other, everything felt like one big cloud. You tried to brush it off you, but you couldn't. You knew that whatever you were about to say many people would be listening to you. All kinds of people of all ages. Did you say one thing wrong, you would be held accountable by every mutant on earth and if you said something right the media would make you into something you weren't... a mutant superhero, a leader, and a preacher. You were simply Y/n, an agent and mutant, but you were no idol. Your head kept spinning until someone caught your eyes.

Zemo or Alexander Petrov stood beside Bucky. He had a weak smile on his lips. He could see you were nervous, and he wished so badly that he could walk over to you and hold your hand as you spoke. He wasn't ready to leave you, but he understood and respected the path. He wasn't gonna fight anyone, this was his time. He knew what he was about to do was a risk, but he needed one last real moment with you. He carefully removes the face veil, showing his face to you.

Your heart started to pound harder as you saw his beautiful face again. A smile grew on your lips. Zemo was stupid, but he was being stupid for you. He was your idiot. Everything you had been through together on this ridiculous long mission, from hating each other to flirt and liking each other. Maybe most importantly, the pain the two of you had experienced in your life before you met. That pain was so important because we learned from each other and with time understood each other. Zemo gave you a little nod, snapping you back to reality.

"Y/n, who are you?"

"Are you afraid of the people calling you a monster?"

"Are you prepared for your trails?"

"Where is your father?"

"What are you wearing?"

"What's your opinion on the GCR committee?"

"Y/n, Y/n, are you single? Any boyfriend? Girlfriend? Tell us!"

"How was it working with Stark for so many years?"

"Miss. Lehnsherr, are you the next generation's mutant voice?"

"Why did you go on the run? Is it true you were in a prison?"

"What are your views on Walker? The flag smashers?"

You shook your head, closing all their silly questions away. If you were gonna talk, you had to do it on your own terms. You smiled weakly and straightened up.

"Thank you for the attention and all your questions. Many people have been asking about who I am or where I come from, and as interesting as that might be for some, that's not relevant. My past is not relevant to who I am now. The person I am today is somebody I choose to be. We're all born into a system. Borders, economy, beliefs, politics, DNA... None of it should matter," you said, not stuttering at all.

"When you tear all that apart and look at the individual, it's our emotions that connect us. No matter who you are or what you have been through or not, everyone has felt happiness, sadness... pain in their life. It's how you handle your emotions and react to them from others that should be defining who I... or we are. Walker, Karli, my father, Tony, me and you...," you said looking over at Zemo, who stood proudly smiling in the corner.

"We're more alike than you think," you continued with a smile on your lips. You then started to walk away from the journalists and towards Zemo. You didn't care anymore, you knew it was a matter of minutes before somebody would come and get him. You had a plan but we're still unsure if it was gonna work and if it didn't, you didn't wanna risk one last moment with Zemo because you were afraid of what the world might say. You stood right in front of him, wrapping your hands around his cheek as you let your lips fall on his.

Zemo's heart was pumping harder than ever. He gently wrapped his hands around your waist and moved you so you were leaning up against the ambulance car. He simply took a minute to just look at you. His hands went from your waist to carefully place it around your neck. He was never gonna let go of the memory of your beautiful face. This was the moment he realized he had to step up and speak his truth.

"I love you" he whispered leaning towards your lips again.

Maybe it would make things worse for you, but you deserved to know. You couldn't hold back a smile anymore. Not tears either, as a tear fell down your cheek. You leaned into his lips. Every kiss was so tender. You slowly tilted your head as you felt his tongue reach for yours, playing their own silly games. Your hands went from his chin to around his neck, closing the gap between the two of you.

"I'm sorry to stop your sweet little moment, but Baron Helmut Zemo has to go with me," a man said, pushing Zemo away from you.

The man was wearing his uniform, so you knew that you weren't about to mess things up with him. At a five meters distance, you saw men ready with their machine guns. You looked up at Zemo and took a deep breath. They put him in handcuffs, and for once he didn't make any funny remarks about it. You wanted to cry, but at the same time you couldn't. Something inside of you told you that this wasn't the end, so you didn't wanna treat it as one either. You stepped up towards Zemo, went up on your toes a little, held his head in your hands as you gave him a tender kiss.

"Give me one week" you whispered against his lips.
