"He is doing exactly what I told him to do, don't worry," You said easily, but you seemed to have touched a sore spot on Bucky, cause he was not having it. He immediately pushed you against the wall, holding a tight grip on your hand. He was not happy, but you had done nothing wrong. They didn't listen to you when you said you didn't trust Sharon, so you had all the right in the world to play your own cards out. Yes, you had broken their terms and rules towards having Zemo here on the mission, but that was your choice.

"Stop playing dumb. Zemo will not hesitate to kill anyone on this mission and you know that. How could you let him go?" He asked annoyed. You shook your head and smiled a little.

"I trust Zemo, I don't trust Sharon, I made a decision," you said as his face darkened. He threw his fist in the wall and immediately ran off by himself. You swore to yourself in annoyance. You loved Bucky, but sometimes he was just being selfish. Suddenly your phone pinged, and you didn't wait to take it up. You knew it had to be Zemo. He had sent the coordinates to this exact building with a description. You brushed Bucky's behavior off and ran a different way. When you came closer to the location, somebody grabbed your hand. Lucky for this person you liked him, so you didn't cut his handoff. Zemo gave you a signal to be quiet, gently leading the way. The two of you ended up hiding under a large lab table.

"I'm disappointed in you," Karli said, the two of them were pointing their guns at each other. It was clear as a day that the two of them had some form of connection. You carefully picked up your phone and started to record their conversation. You needed and had to have proof. If Sharon had done anything wrong, you knew your words weren't strong enough to convince the boys, but Sharon's own word... They had to believe her.

"That's what I was gonna say," Sharon said and tilted her head. Sharon then put her hands up and stopped pointing the gun at Karli.

"You know, when you came to Madripoor, you reminded me of a young me. I took you in, gave you an opportunity and you betrayed me," Sharon continued. You couldn't help but feel sick to your stomach. What you had done to Sharon, taking her in and building her up was the same exact thing she had done to Karli. Of course to an extreme, but it didn't change anything. It didn't change that Sharon was a product of you, and to some extent, Karli was also a product of your past. You fell out of the conversation and looked down at the dusty ground.

Zemo noticed your sudden change in behavior, and in some strange way, he could feel your pain. It was like the two of you shared and felt the same emotions. He could never fully understand what you felt, but he wanted to be there for you. This wasn't your fault, no matter how much you thought so. You did what you thought was best at that time, for yourself and Sharon. They made the choice to follow you. You didn't know what that would lead to in the future. He quietly moved his hand, laying it over yours as he intertwined your fingers.

You looked up at Zemo when you felt the touch of his fingers and immediately looked up at him. Zemo gave you a weak reassuring smile. His hazel brown eyes were so soft and welcoming. It was no way that your heart wouldn't melt. Zemo was no longer an ice block you had to play a guessing game with. The two of you could read each other's feelings, in your own unique way. You heard footsteps and looked up. It was that damn french guy.
