You and Sam jumped away from each other and acted like nothing when James finally looked up at the two of you. "What did you do?" Sam asked looking at James with suspicion, which was more than well deserved just by looking at the way James was entering this room.

"I didn't do anything."

"That's bullshit, you absolutely did." you said as you took a step towards him, crossing your arms.

"What did you do?" Sam repeated. You couldn't help but be jealous at how Sam could be so calm in these situations.

James looked away

"You know how the weakest point in any system isn't the software, the hardware, it's the meatware. The human element"

"I know where this is going, and i don't wike it." you shut in. Why did you know? Because you have done the same exact with him countless times before. He looked over at you in annoyance.

"Now, in this lockup, it's nine to one, prisoners to guards. And if two prisoners start fighting, then the protocol says four guards have to respond. These things escalate, lockdown procedures would have to be initiated, and with all those bodies flying around left and right, it wouldn't be hard to slip down a hallway or two... And if the fire alarm got tripped while the prisoners were being separated.. someone could use the chaos to their advantage." James went on and on with this so-called hypothetical. He made it almost sound like a fairytale, a bad one, but still.

"I don't like how casual you are about this" Sam said and you agreed.

"You know this is crazy right? This man split up the whole Avengers. What the hell did he tell you for wanting to get him out of his cell?" You said and couldn't help but get frustrated at the situation. This was what you were thinking about. James took a wild card, the soldier would do as told.

"And that arm of yours, remember where it's from? How do you think the Wakandas would react to this? Zemo killed king T'chaka, you would be betraying their trust!" Sam said and finally raised his voice at James.

"Are you even in your right mind? Did Zemo trigger anyth..." more couldn't you say before you heard footsteps coming from the hallway and immediately stopped talking.

A shadow appeared and you grabbed the Batons you had hidden on your legs under your pants. You knew exactly what James had done, and you knew that however much you could need this guy, that this wasn't worth it. Tony would not only throw two bottles of beer at you, he would fight you if he saw this.

Sam stepped up "What are you doin' here?"

"I didn't tell 'cause I knew the two of you wouldn't let this happen" James said as he tried to slow Sam down. You stood still, only waiting for Sam to give you permission to attack this man and bring him straight back to where he belonged.

"Exactly! I can't do this, I'm not allowed to do this!" you yelled at James and for the first time looked over at Zemo. The man was wearing a dark blue uniform, and it surprised you how normal he looked. You had seen pictures of him, but in person he didn't look nearly as evil.

"If I may?" Zemo started with a clear Sokovian accent.

"No!" the three of you yelled back.

James looked over at the two of you. You couldn't figure out if it was a trick or not when he suddenly started to soften his eyes and his voice was leading with empathy. "When Steve refused to sign the sokovia accords, you backed him, you broke the law, and you stuck your neck out for me. I'm asking you guys to do it again." James said and was looking at Sam who got quiet. It really looked like he was thinking about this, considering if it was a good idea or not.

Again, you knew this was the wrong time for you to talk, but you couldn't keep shut. "I love you guys, or rather you Sam, but I joined after the accords, and if i'm being honest, looking back at it, I wouldn't be on the same team as you guys." you said to clear up your standpoint. You did exactly as Sam told you, but that didn't mean that you shouldn't be able to speak up your mind. Sam and Bucky looked at you with some confused faces.

"I'm sorry, but it had to be said." you said as you nodded to yourself.

Sam looked over at Zemo, and you already knew what he was going to say.

"Okay, We can do this, if you promise to not make a move without my, and let that be clear, my permission, not the cyborg's, MINE permission." Sam said and pointed at James when he was talking about the cyborg.

"Fair." Zemo said shortly.

"Okay, Zemo where do we start?" Sam asked and fixed his jacked.

A little smile started to curl up on Zemo's lips.

"Great, he even has the signature villain's smile" you mumbled.
