The silence in the car ride was painful. You knew all the guys had thousands of questions for you and you would have to spend the evening answering them. You stared out the window, dreaming of the whiskey bottle at home you yet hadn't open. Sharon parked the car outside a fancy villa. You stepped out of the car and Sharon looked at you with a smile "I updated since you left" she said looking at the place before she started to walk in. This reminded you of how you used to live. It was money before moral, and even if you never meant for Sharon to adapt that to her life, she seemed to already have done it. "Of course, you have." you mumbled and followed her inside.

"You guys need to change, I have people in an hour." Sharon said and sat down in the couch. You knew if you sat down the question would start immediately, so you went over to the clothes instead. Sam came up to you and looked at the clothes "How are you doing?" Sam asked silently making sure nobody could hear the two of you. You looked over at him. His caring eyes were glowing. It made you feel safe. "It got pretty intense there.. with you and Zemo?" he asked with a weak smile.

"I guess it's a part of the job" you mumbled and looked up at him. You looked back at the clothes before you picked out a grey sweater and gave it to him. "You always look so good in a turtleneck" you said with a warm smile that he returned. "Oh, you really think so?" he asked fishing for compliments. You laughed "I do" you said with a little nod, "but take it on before I regret giving you the compliment." you whispered eagerly.

You helped him unbutton his shirt. You weren't shy when you were with Sam. You may haven't told him the whole truth about you, but you still felt like you could be yourself with him and he would encourage you for it. He made you feel safe and you always had a good laugh with him. You took off the shirt and held it for him. Oh, he didn't look back either. You smiled weakly biting your under lip. You looked away to not blush by your silly reaction when you saw Zemo looking over at the two of you, he took a sip of the glass before he sat down and joined James and Sharon's conversation.

"So have you and Bucky talked it out yet?" Sam asked and carefully put his hands around your waist. You looked up at him for a second before you looked at the floor. "Y/n after the therapy session the two of you have almost totally ignored each other... you need to talk it out with him."

"We have nothing to talk about" you mumbled and almost wanted to hide away.

"You know that's bullshit. Stop acting like kids. I may not understand all the layers, but I can see on the both of you that this isn't working.. It's hurting Bucky." he answered. You looked up at him and let your head fall into his chest as you took your arms around him in a hug.

"I hate how smart you are." you laughed low.

"I know you do" he laughed and brushed his fingers on your back before the two of you turned to the others. Sam sat down with the others and you followed and sat down beside him.

"Sharon, I'm sorry I didn't call, but after the blip and the chaos I just..." Sam said and tried to apologize to her. You knew that even if Sam meant it sincerely, it wouldn't help anything for Sharon to hear. It would just be irritating and seen as him petting her. You were right, and she brushed away the question "How is the new Cap?" Sharon asked and looked at us, but it was of course one person who had stronger feelings about it than the rest of us.

"Don't get me started" James said groaning and changing position on the couch. You stood up restless and looked over at the clothes, trying to get the willpower to actually change.

"Please. You buy into all that stars and stripes bullshit. Before you were his sweet murdering psychopath you were Mr. America! Cap's best friend." Sharon snapped back at James and you couldn't help but enjoy it. You liked the new Sharon, the confident one. You may wish didn't end up as a high profile criminal lord, but still, you liked her attitude.

"Wow, she is awful now." James said shocked looking over at the empty fireplace. You walked behind James and put your hands on his shoulder. You looked down at him with a big smile "And you can't really blame her for it, James" you said and clapped his shoulder before you let go. James turned around "What is that supposed to mean?" he snapped back at you, but before you could explain yourself Sam started to talk and explain the situation with Karli, so the two of you shut up and listened to Sam. Sharon doubted it, both the case and if Sam could really clear him.

"The government cleared the guy you two seconds ago called sweet murder psychopath, Tony cleared y/n, I promise we can find a way for you, if you trust me." Sam said and you could already imagine James' reaction in your head.

"I heard that," James said two seconds later. You rolled your eyes at him.

"Allright, I'll help you out, and you will get my name cleared." Sharon said as the two of them shaked hands on it. What Sam had promised Sharon was a big deal, and honestly you were a bit surprised that Sam even dared to give that kind of promise. Not only because it was incredibly difficult, but also because of what a risk it could be. Sharon probably was a great person before, but it's been 8 years and she is now living an extremely healthy life as a crime lord and we knew nothing about what types of crimes or how she did them. You knew to ask those questions, because you had been where Sharon stood, and if anyone gave you a green pass to the US then... You wouldn't exactly be a sweet dream in the country. "Well, I sell to some pretty connected people. Lay low. Blend in, enjoy the party. Try to stay outta trouble. I'll see what I can find." she said and walked up the stairs and the guys followed blindly. You stayed in the living room. You needed to change clothes, but most of all you needed a break and a glass of whiskey.

You walked over towards the liquor and found the whiskey. You poured it into your glass and took a sip of it. You would lie if you said you didn't miss it. You closed your eyes as you drank up the glass. You opened your eyes and filled up the glass and took the bottle in your hand, finally it was only you and a bottle, or so you thought until you turned around to see Zemo sitting at the other side of the room in a chair.

"Fuck you." You mumbled annoyed as you sat down on the couch.

"Please do y/n" he said. It almost made you choke on the drink.

"You are not allowed to use my name!" you said harsh to him pointing a finger at him.

"That's fine, little bird" he said and leaned forward in his seat.

"So y/n, what's your and Sam's thing?"
