"Rest young child... The sun will shine..When morning comes...But now it's dark and the world is calm.. So let your eyes rest and fall asleep" you sang low to yourself in polish walking, already at a far distance from the house. It was the lullaby your father used to sing you to sleep with. A time where everything was easier. You didn't have your powers yet, and you hadn't lost your mother either back then. Erik, your father still was conflicted, but he still had some sort of peace, making him no different from any other fathers. It was sadly everything changed when your mother got murdered, all because of Erik's powers, or rather how people's fear of his powers. That's the moment everything got complicated. You were only nine when it happened, but you still remembered it as if it was yesterday.

They meant to come for your father and you. They had heard of Erik's powers as he had tried to help some of his co-works out when a massive metal piece was falling on him, but your father got it away, saving his co-workers life, or that's at least what your father had told you. His co-workers had told him, and now wanted to get rid of him. They took you and your mother to lure him in. It worked perfectly, of course he came. They shot your mother when Erik didn't listen. Sometimes you hear her scream at night and the memory of her blood on your face crawl back. Your mother wasn't even a mutant, she had no powers, nothing. It was when they pointed their gun at you, that your powers manifested, in panic saving you from their bullets. Erik came running over, killing all the men on his way to come to you.

You looked out at the green fields. Erik was many things, terrible things that can never get justified, but he never stopped loving you. Everything he had done, he did because he thought it was the best for you. Not only for you, but for all mutants. In many ways, Zemo and Erik were similar. Zemo lost his family, Erik lost his parents and wife. It was their loss that motivated their need for revenge, so much that it blinded them. One wanted a world without enhanced people, the other a world only for mutants. The wind was blowing, the grass moving with it. You looked around you, checking that nobody could see you. You took your hands out of your pockets and looked down at your shoes.

"Okay y/n, you can do this" you mumbled to yourself.

You closed your eyes, and your fingers started to make small movements. You could feel all the metal around you, now you only needed to focus and center it. You took a deep breath and for a few minutes you let yourself just take in the feeling of the metal. You slowly open your eyes and focus on the metal inside of you. You finally reach the right focus and alter it as your feet lift you from the ground. A smile grew on your lips as you got higher and higher up in the air. You're only two meters up in the air and haven't moved a meter away from the spot you started on, but already from up here, the world looked totally different. The wind suddenly blew a little harder than you had foreseen causing you to lose balance and fall straight down in the grass. The adrenalin made you start to laugh uncontrollably, before the pain from falling together with the wound hit you. Tears started to stream as you sat up. You cursed low to yourself. You picked up your phone from your pocket and found Bucky's number. You didn't wanna return to the house and face Zemo, but you didn't wanna beg for help either. It was too late to fix things with Zemo, and you needed somebody who understood you by your side.

"Hi, Bucky... I did something terrible"
