Chapter LXXX

Juliana was looking at the sea and the stars when she was soon approached by a pirate from the Lotus Flower who had long black and brown dreadlocks, wore an eye patch over her right eye, a scar that went under the eye patch, and had a tooth that was possibly gold.

Pirate x: Sorry, do I know you?
Juliana: (Showing her shyness) I... don't think so.
Pirate x: Are you sailing with us?
Juliana: (Nods)
Pirate x: I don't think that dress would be very comfortable for sailing.
Juliana: It's... the only thing I've got right now.
Pirate x: Come with me. In my cabin I have more comfortable clothes.

The pirate grabbed Juliana by the wrist and took her to the cabins. There Juliana was surprised to see so many clothes so different from what she normally wore.

Pirate x: You can choose whatever you want.
Juliana: Thank you so...

Juliana wanted to thank the pirate she had just met, but when she turned to see her, she was no longer there, so she assumed that she had gone back up to the deck.

With nothing else to say, Juliana entered the small room and looked for more comfortable clothes for a ship trip under the command of a pirate.

Juliana entered the cabin full of clothes, wearing a long emerald green dress, and left the place with black pants, a brown dress with sleeves, which did not reach below the knees, a black belt, and a sleeveless jacket with different shades of dark green.

Before leaving the small room, Juliana saw a sword hanging next to the door. For a second she thought about grabbing it but in the end she decided to leave it there. Then she returned to the deck and stood where she had been before, looking at the sea and the stars.

Johari, who was working, preparing the sails and moorings, saw a girl ahe did not remember having seen on the ship before, looking at the stars. As she approached, she immediately recognized Juliana.

Johari: Juliana?
Juliana: (Turns and answers with a shy smile)
Johari: What are you doing here and where did you get those clothes?
Juliana: This? A friend of yours lent it to me.
Johari: Anne?
Juliana: She didn't tell me her name.
Johari: It suits you very well. What are you doing here?
Juliana: I had to charge your captain somehow for giving him the Heart of Fire.
Johari: Are you sailing with us?
Juliana: (Nods)
Johari: Then you're accepting my proposal?

Juliana didn't understand what Johari was referring to at first, but then remembered the conversation with her new friend as they walked to the Black Pearl.

Juliana: I may be sailing with pirates, but that doesn't mean I'm going to be a pirate. Please make that clear, okay?
Johari: Okay. But you should know that with those clothes you look like a pirate.
Juliana: ...
Johari: You're just missing this little detail.

Johari took out one of the two sheathed swords she always carried on her belt and began to put it on Juliana's belt.

Juliana immediately understood Johari's intentions but she refused, remembering the sword she had preferred not to grab down in the cabin.

Juliana: What are you doing?
Johari: I'm giving you something every pirate must have.
Juliana: It's a sword?!
Johari: It is indeed.
Juliana: I'm really grateful but I don't want it.
Johari: Being here, you're going to need it.
Juliana: As long as it's not urgent, I prefer not to have it.
Johari: You sure?
Juliana: I'm sure. And thank you, but no thank you.
Johari: As you say.
Juliana: (Calmer) Thanks.
Johari: I should go back to my work.
Juliana: I hope that the trust you have given me so far is a trust that can last throughout the trip.
Johari: It'll be. I promise.
Juliana: You'd better go back to your job.
Johari: I'll go. Beautiful necklace, by the way.
