Chapter XCIII

《Arriving at Port Royal》
Carina: Home sweet home.
Gibbs: (To Ruby) So who's gonna go?
Ruby: Johari, Jack and me. The other ones stay here. No one else moves.
Anne: (To Ruby) Wouldn't it be better if you change your clothes? Something that doesn't show so obviously that you are pirates and thus you are not discovered so easily?
Carina: Besides Johari, Sparrow and Flame are going. Two of the most wanted pirates in the Caribbean. Whatever clothes they wear, they will be recognized anyway.
Juliana: And if they don't recognize them, they will recognize the Lotus Flower. It is a well-known and obviously sought-after ship, being owned by Flame.
Henry: Don't worry. Nothing will happen to them. They are friends of my mother. The daughter of a former governor of this city. Elizabeth Swann.
Anne: Captain please be careful. Whatever it happens, we're gonna be here prepared to attack and defend.
Ruby: Thank you very much, Anne. Everything's gonna be ok.

After getting off the Lotus, Henry and Carina went to the Turner house and the pirates followed Juliana home.

Upon arriving, they saw that right next to the house, there was a garden with many plants and a tree that was slightly taller than the house. The pirates quickly assumed that this garden had been the product of Juliana's powers.

Juliana led the pirates straight to the garden without entering the house first.

When the garden gate opened, a blue butterfly flew down from the tree and when it reached Juliana it took on a human form.

Adrielle: July! (Hugs her) Where have you been?!
Juliana: (Responds to the hug) I went on a little trip with Henry and Carina.
Adrielle: Why didn't you tell me anything?!
Juliana: It was a bit of a hasty decision.
Adrielle: I was worried.
Juliana: I'll tell you everything in detail later. I promise.
Adrielle: (Gives her another hug) I'm glad you're ok. (Kisses her)
Juliana: Because of how you're acting I guess my mom's not here.
Adrielle: (Shakes her head) About that... I have some not-so-good news for you.
Juliana: (To the pirates) Can I have a few minutes? I need to talk to Adrielle alone for a while.
Johari: (Nods) We can go back to the ship if you want.
Juliana: (Nods)
Ruby: You go pick us up and let us know when you're ready to...
Juliana: (Nodding) I'll tell you.
Jack: Thanks for helping us, Girl.

Juliana responded with a small smile before the pirates returned to the Lotus Flower.

When Adrielle felt that the pirates were far enough away to no longer hear the conversation, she broke the silence with a question to her girlfriend.

Adrielle: Who are they?
Juliana: Some old Henry's friends.
Adrielle: And what are they doing here?
Juliana: I already told you I'll tell you everything in detail later. Now I need you to tell me that not-so-good news. Did something happen to my mom?
Adrielle: (Shakes her head) No, don't worry. It's not that.
Juliana: So?
Adrielle: Your mother was talking to kings of small neighboring kingdoms.

Hearing that, Juliana immediately knew where the conversation was heading.

Adrielle: July... There is already a prince and a date set for your wedding.
Juliana: (With teary eyes) No. I'm not getting married. Not with someone I don't know and have no interest in getting to know.
Adrielle: July, that's why your mom's not here. She is finishing organizing the wedding.
Juliana: Listen to me. I spent a little over a week sailing with Carina, Henry, and these friends who came with me. It was very interesting to meet them, talk to them and understand how they see life being at sea day and night.
Adrielle: Are they pirates?
Juliana: Aye.
Adrielle: But Juliana...
Juliana: These are not bad people. They were very close to Henry's parents.
Adrielle: But your dad was...
Juliana: (Interrupting) Let me finish. Will you?
Adrielle: Ok. Go on.
Juliana: They might be pirates. They might be seen as maritime criminals here. But they are not afraid to show themselves as how they really are. Same-gender couples. Amulets and magical powers. They know they won't be judged or criticized. Each crew is like a big team. Like a big family that supports each other and accepts each other as they are.
Adrielle: (Calmer) You just described us in just two sentences.
Juliana: Same-gender couples and magical powers?
Adrielle: Is there that among pirates?
Juliana: There's a lot of that on the high seas. A girl had an owl amulet. (Smiling) Guess what she could do with that.
