Chapter LXXV

《On the deck of the Black Pearl》
Pike: (From the crow's nest) Ship ahoy!
Gibbs: Captain! Is it possible that it is an enemy ship?
Jack: (Looking at the ship with his spyglass) It's possible.
Scrum: What do we do, capt'n?
Jack: Load the cannons! Prepare the weapons!

Johari had a feeling. She felt that she knew which ship was approaching, so, being the only one that had not yet prepared with her weapon, she looked at the compass and noticed how the arrow pointed at the approaching ship.

When Jack was about to give the order to attack the enemy ship, Johari drew attention not to shoot.

Johari: Do not shoot! Jack! Please!
Jack: It is not safe to be attacked by them before.
Johari: (Looking at the compass) I think I know which is the approaching ship. 🛳️
Jack: (Looks at the compass) The Ranger...
Johari: (Nods)
Scrum: Captain! The ship is getting closer. What do we do?
Johari: Let me!
Gibbs: (To Johari) What do you intend to do?
Johari: I'm getting near that ship.
Cremble: And how do you intend to do that?
Johari: We, owls, can fly.
Pike: Johari, what you intend to do is very dangerous.
Johari: I think I know who the captain is.
Pike: That doesn't take away the dangerous part.
Johari: I'll take the risk.
Pike: Captain! What do you think about that?
Jack: (After a short pause) Let her do it! (To Johari) Cannons are going to still be loaded. In case you are in danger, you approach us, give us a sign, and I give the order to shoot.
Johari: (Nods)

Johari returned the compass to Jack, transformed into an owl and prepared to fly to the one she thought was the Ranger, but just before leaving, Pike stopped her.

Pike: Johari!
Johari: (Turns to see his cousin and friend)
Pike: Be very careful.
Gibbs: And escape if you are in danger.
Jack: (Hurrying Johari) Now! You better go before they shoot us.

Johari, without answering, turned again and took flight.

《On the Ranger》
Gentleman Jocard was captaining his ship with his first mate Marcus.

Everything was going normally until suddenly a pirate saw something that didn't fit on the ship.

Pirate x: Captain! Did you bring a bird on board?
Gentleman Jocard: Why would I bring a bird to the ocean?
Pirate x: Well... Because there seems to be a crow in the crow's nest.
Marcus: (Looks at the big black bird) That's not a crow. It looks more like an owl.
Gentleman Jocard: (After looking at the owl) Who brought that animal onto my ship?!
Marcus: Captain, that bird wasn't on board some minutes ago.
Gentleman Jocard: And how is it possible that an animal that normally lives in the woods, arrives on its own to a ship in the middle of the ocean?!
Marcus: Captain, no one had seen that bird until it was mentioned. That means that if it didn't arrive on its own, then it comes from some other nearby ship.
Gentleman Jocard: Of course there's a ship nearby! But I don't feel like fighting right now.
Pirate x: (When seeing the empty crow's nest) Captain! The bird is no longer up there!
Gentleman Jocard: ( When hearing a noise coming from the cellar) Marcus! Go find that bird! I just heard it in the cellar! It has to be down there!
Marcus: Aye aye captain!
