Chapter XCII

The next morning, when the pirates woke up, they realized that Ruby had prepared her ship to sail again.

Anne: (Seeing Ruby) Captain Flame's back!
Ruby: (From the helm of The Lotus Flower) Ahoy!
Gibbs: (Aproaches to Ruby) It looks like you really miss sailing, Little Ruby.
Ruby: (Nods smiling) I really do.
Jack: (Runs to Ruby's side) Apple Pie!
Ruby: (Smiling) Jack...
Jack: You know I really enjoy being the captain of the Black Pearl.
Ruby: (Confused) Aha.
Jack: But now I would like to try something different.
Ruby: (Showing a confused face) Different in which way?
Jack: Let me sail with you on the Lotus Flower.
Ruby: (Surprised) You really want that?
Jack: I really want it, Captain Evans.
Ruby: (Nods smiling) Ok. Welcome aboard, Jack.
Gibbs: (To Jack) But captain! Who's gonna be in charge of the Black Pearl then?
Jack: This time it is the Pearl that is going to take a break and will be docked here.
Ruby: Crew members of the Pearl who wish to continue sailing can crew on the Lotus Flower.

Carina, who was walking nearby, heard the conversation and joined in.

Carina: So it's the ship of hell that's going to take us back to Port Royal?
Johari: (Approaches from behind) That's right. The Lotus Flower is about to begin its journey.

After preparing the ship to finally set sail, Ruby gave the order to begin the journey.

Ruby: (Giving the order to the crew) Weigh anchor! Hoist sails! We're heading for Port Royal!

Juliana was sitting at the side of the helm, listening to the conversation between the captain and the other pirates who accompanied her, while leafing through the Official Book of the Goddess Flame.

Henry: (Sits next to Juliana) What are you reading?
Juliana: (Reading the page of the Ship of the Underworld) Can you believe that this ship was built by the Gods of the Underworld? It is made of a magical and resistant material, capable of sailing on boiling waters.
Henry: I understand that it can navigate on lava.
Juliana: (Nods without looking up from the book)
Henry: Hey, July. I don't see you that excited to go back.
Juliana: (Closes the book) I'd never seen a place as beautiful as Pantano Island.
Henry: (Remembering conversations with Juliana and Adrielle) That's the place, isn't it?
Juliana: I'll go back to Port Royal just for two things. First I want to tell my mom the whole truth.
Henry: The truth about Adrielle?
Juliana: (Nods) I'm tired of hiding it. I don't wanna marry a man I don't know just to be a millionaire and be part of royalty. I prefer a humble family that makes me feel comfortable.
Henry: You're going to tell Adrielle that you found the perfect place?
Juliana: (Nods) I'll come back. And I won't be alone.
Henry: I've never seen you so happy.
Juliana: Magic and nature. A perfect combination. I don't like hiding that I'm Liana either. I want to show who I really am.
Henry: When you're settled on Pantano Island with Adrielle, are you going to come visit us in Port Royal from time to time?
Juliana: Of course we are. But you're going to come visit us in Pantano Island as well.
Henry: Of course.

After a long time at sea, Juliana saw that Ruby was alone at the helm and decided to approach her.

Juliana: Enjoying the trip?
Ruby: Very much so. And you? You don't seem very enthusiastic.
Juliana: It's not the trip. It's the fact of returning and thinking that possibly a prince whom I do not know is waiting for me, to marry.
Ruby: But you told me you wanna stay at Pantano Island.
Juliana: That's right. The truth is that I wanna get to Port Royal to look for Adrielle and tell her that I found the perfect place. (A little discouraged) But I know I have to talk to my mom first. I don't wanna end up fighting with her.
Ruby: The truth always ahead.
Juliana: And talking about truth, have you thought about what are you going to tell... your mom?
Ruby: (Shakes her head) I haven't been able to. Every time I try to think about it, I remember my childhood with her and I feel the beats on my back.
Juliana: We're both afraid of speaking with Marianne.
Ruby: I really am.
Juliana: But you have to trust that she won't hurt you. When I'm around her, she won't hurt a fly. And remember, Jack said he'll be there too.
Ruby: And Johari. She also offered me company.
Juliana: You know? You have a whole crew ready to defend their captain if danger threatens. And if that weren't enough, you always carry a very powerful weapon with you.
Ruby: (Unsheathes her dagger) Always with me, yes. But as powerful as you say, I don't believe it.
Juliana: I'm not talking 'bout that. I'm talking about the Heart of Fire. You don't need a match to light a flame, with just your finger you can start a fire in a matter of seconds.
Ruby: (Sets fire to the edge of the dagger) I haven't trained my powers for a long time.
Juliana: So make the most of what's left of your trip.

Juliana made a flowering vine grow on Ruby's arm, causing her to extinguish the dagger's fire. In response, Ruby burned the vine's flowers with her index finger of her opposite hand, one by one.

Juliana: I would continue to show you what else I can do but I don't think it's time.
Ruby: Didn't you wanna know the limits of your power?That's why you looked for me. Or at least that's what you said. Meet Flame to understand Liana better.
Juliana: Don't tempt me. Please don't.
Ruby: I won't tempt you. (Transforms into a phoenix) I'll better force you to defend yourself.

Ruby raised a small wall of fire around Juliana and she used her power to extinguish the flames.

Soon a small friendly battle began between Liana, with her ability to control plants, and Flame, with her power to generate fire.

When they finished, applause could be heard all over the deck.

Juliana was surprised at herself, as she had done things she didn't know she could do because she had never taken the time to experiment with her powers.

Juliana: (Surprised) I had no idea I could do many of the things I just did.
Ruby: And I'm sure you can do much more.
Henry: (Approaches to Juliana) You left me very surprised with what you just did.
Juliana: I'm also very surprised.
Henry: I didn't think Liana was such a powerful goddess.
Juliana: But they see me doing this in Port Royal and they lock me up like a monster or a demon.
Henry: You realize that you can use this to attack powerful people.
Juliana: I actually prefer to use my power to defend ourselves from powerful people.
Henry: That's what you wanted, right? Discover your power to help those who need your help.
Juliana: (Nods)
Henry: Congratulations.
Juliana: (Smiles)
