Honestly, why do I have to write about urban life...? I can't even tell where the city stops and suburban life begins. And I sure don't care either; I like the suburbs, and I know that's where I belong. It's a happy medium between urban and rural.
Maybe I really ought to look into anime conventions in Japan versus America.... I just don't have the same level of interest in graffiti that could get me through reading academic articles.
And if we're sharing our work with our peers, going over crime and/or policing wouldn't be a good idea either. I know that one of my classmates, at least, thinks that all city police are racist, so...
The research phase is just so hard for me because I really struggle with figuring out what articles are good.... I want articles on my topic, but I don't want articles that are so wordy that I literally just cannot understand them either.
... And then there's the problem that I don't frigging know what's urban and not.
