Jiara - oneshots - part 1

story 18

Kiara's POV:

We were all hanging out on the beach together. John B and Sarah, me and Pope, and then there was JJ.

Pope and I had been dating for about three months and it was going okay. I think I might just be dating him because I felt guilty. I kept it super G rated like I caught myself avoiding kissing him and even simple things like holding his hand. 

We were just chilling and suddenly a blonde girl showed up. She was a pogue. I'd seen her around at parties. She walked up and kissed JJ.

"This is my girlfriend, Kayla" JJ said smiling

John B and Pope were excited for him and I was annoyed. Out of all the girls he could've picked, he picked her. She was a known troublemaker and pothead. 

She grabbed a beer and then she started sucking face with JJ. It was disgusting.

"So are we gonna surf?" I asked interrupting them

"Yeah, let's go!" John B said

Everyone grabbed their boards except for JJ and Kayla. She said she didn't have her board and she hated surfing. So they stayed there on the beach making out. The boys ran ahead and Sarah walked to the ocean with me and said, "I think you're jealous.."

"I could care less" I said getting in the water

We spent the afternoon surfing and then we went back to the chateau to have a fire and drink. JJ invited Kayla and she took my spot in the van.

"Unbelievable.." I said under my breath

"Come on, Kie don't be like that. You can just sit on the floor." JJ said 

"Or you can sit on my lap" Pope suggested

"Fuck off JJ and hell no, Pope." I said shutting the door and walking

JJ opened the door and said, "You're really going to walk back to the chateau? it's like 10 miles"

"No, I'm walking home" I said turning the opposite way from the way John B was driving

I walked home and took a shower and laid in bed and watched Netflix. I had a few texts from the pogue group chat telling me to come over. I told them no and every single person in the group chat blamed JJ. 

About twenty minutes later someone rang the doorbell and my parents were gone so I went to get it. It was Pope.

"Are you alright, Kiara?"

"I'm fine but we should talk. I haven't really been feeling you and me. I think we jumped into this really fast. We are much better as friends than a couple." I said and Pope agreed but I could tell he was hurt

The next day, I went to hang out with Sarah, and apparently, Pope went back last night and got wasted. JJ and Kayla hooked up in the guest room at the chateau. Okay, so I guess I was jealous of Kayla but that doesn't mean I like JJ. Right?

I avoided the pogues for a few days but tonight we were meeting about the gold. I showed up last and Kayla was there. Oh, hell no.

"What is she doing here?" I asked pissed

"I know about the gold and I'm going to help" Kayla said 

"You're kidding right?" 

"Kie, we need her help"

"Bullshit.. We already added Sarah to this. You've been dating Kayal for like 5 minutes. No, if she's in, I'm out for real this time." I said storming down to the dock

"I'm with Kie on this.." Sarah said following me

We were sitting down on the dock and I said, "I think I like JJ.."

"No shit" She said laughing

"Shut up, okay. He has a girlfriend and I can't go through all the guys"

"Yeah, but maybe things didn't work with you and John B or Pope because they are supposed to work out with JJ. You'll never know unless you try. And I mean come on, JJ has been flirting with you for years."

"But he has a girlfriend. He's never been in a relationship before. This must mean something to him because he doesn't date"

JJ walked down to the dock and as he walked down, Sarah got up and left. Bitch. I sat there not saying anything to JJ.

"Kie, I'm sorry but Kayla found out about the gold and helped put the pieces together for the next step"

Before either of us could speak, John B yelled that Rafe and Barry were coming. We all ran into the chateau and into the bathroom as that was the only door that locked. It was a small bathroom and it was super crowded in here. My whole body was pushed up against JJ's. The most awkward thing in the world. The light was off and Barry and Rafe were inside. They were checking all rooms and they were screaming. 

They found JJ's weed stash and then they left. JJ was pissed that they took his weed. His weed was hidden so I have no clue how they found it so fast and they didn't even bother to look for us. That's so weird. We also discovered they stole the compass.

"Grow up, they could have killed us. You can get more weed." Pope said annoyed with JJ's behavior

We walked back outside and they were there waiting for us. 

"Thanks for the compass you stupid pogues" Rafe said

"How the hell did you even know where that was?" Pope asked

"And my weed!" JJ added

Barry and Rafe got these evil smiles and then Barry said, "My girlfriend.."

"Who the hell is your girlfriend?" Sarah asked

"Come here, babe"

Kayla walked over to Barry and kissed him. She looked back at JJ and said, "Sorry, I was just using you"

Kayla laughed and she left with Barry and Rafe. JJ looked hurt by what just happened and I felt bad for him. They were together for three weeks and that was his first actual relationship. JJ walked down to the dock and John B was going to go talk to him. I stopped him and said that I should do it.

I walked down to the dock and I said, "I'm sorry about what happened with Kayla"

"It doesn't matter just shows why I should never date. Fuck relationships"

"That's not true, it was just with the wrong girl"

"Yeah, well I'm never going to find the right one. Girls know my father and that scares them off. I'm good for hooks up and that's it. No one wants to date me"

"I know someone who would love to date you"

"Who?" He asked

"Me.." I said quietly

JJ laughed like he didn't believe me. 

"I'm being serious..." I said and he stopped laughing and looked at me

"Why would you want to date me? You could do so much better"

"Because I love you, JJ, and I have for a really long time. It's always been you, I'm just scared that it will ruin our friendship and I don't ever want to lose you."

JJ looked at me and said, "You'll never lose me because I can't live without you. I love you, Kie."
