Kie's POV:

I went away to boarding school for my senior year and then to college in Arizona. I just grew apart from the pogues and we didn't talk anymore. If we did, it was short and sweet like a simple happy birthday text.

I dated guys and never really fell in love with them. I was over it and I made the decision to pick a random sperm donor as I've always wanted to be a mom. I got to use the same donor and I have a five year old boy named Liam Jackson Carrera and a three year old daughter named Sophia Anna Carrera. They were amazing and I loved them so much. We were still living in Arizona. However, they ask a million questions about their dad.

I did my best to explain to them that it was just mommy and they didn't really understand. I looked at the paperwork and I had no idea who the donor was but it said the donor was open to meeting the kids. I contacted the company and after a few months of them communicating with me and the donor, they arranged a meet-up at one of the facilities in Colorado.

I packed the kids in the car and I drove to the hotel we were meeting this guy at. There was going to be a lawyer and a police officer there. We spent the first night in our room and I was so nervous to meet the man that gave me two amazing babies.

We were hanging out in the conference room waiting for the guy to arrive. I was holding Sophia on my lap and Liam sat in the chair next to me. The door opened and my heart stopped. There stood JJ Maybank. He looked at me and then at the kids and I felt so stupid. I immediately started bawling and JJ rushed over to me and he hugged me. I fell apart in his arms and he whispered in my ear, "You had my babies"

I pulled back and introduced JJ to the kids. They both hugged him and JJ asked, "You named Liam after me?"

"Yeah, you were my best friend" I said which caused JJ to start crying

"Kie, now that I know, I won't ever be able to un-know this.... I need to be in their lives. I feel like a failure, like Luke for already missing so much"

"We had no way of knowing... It's okay and I want you in their lives"

We took the kids to the hotel pool and JJ bonded with them so much. I was wild to see how similar Liam was to JJ. We spent the whole day with JJ and I got the kids to bed and then JJ and I saw outside my hotel room talking.

We caught each other up on what's been happening over the years and I told him everything about Liam and Sophia. I showed him all the pictures and he said that he only donated his sperm once for some cash. We still couldn't believe that it was me who got his babies. We scheduled DNA testing, just to be sure.

JJ offered to move to Arizona but I said no because it was lonely there and I told him that I would move back to the Outer Banks. So much happened in our three hours of talking. My whole life has changed today. I couldn't believe that JJ was the biological father of my children.

The kids adjusted so well to him over the next few days. He came back to Arizona with us and helped me pack up my house. He took a personal leave from work to bond with the kids and it was like he'd been their dad the whole time. Liam called him dad now and so did Sophia.

JJ had been sleeping on the couch for the past week and tonight was no different. I got up and snuck out to the living room and he was still awake on his phone. He looked at me and I asked, "Will you come to bed with me?"

"Are you sure that's a good idea?" He asked

"No" I said and he didn't care

He got up and we went back to my bedroom where we laid in my bed together and he held me in his arms.

"J, I know this is crazy and all happening so fast but I just wanted you to know that if I had to go back and do it again knowing they were your kids, I would. When I originally signed up for the program, I put that I wanted three kids..."

"I know... I got a letter in the mail a few months ago asking if I'd still donate"

"Will you?" I asked him

"Of course, but I was hoping maybe we could just stop involving the company and conceive the normal way"

"Is this you asking to have sex with me?"

He laughed and I said, "Fuck me, JJ"

He kissed me and it was like my whole world made sense again. The crush that I tried so hard to hide for years was still there and bigger than ever. I was in love with JJ Maybank.

Over the next few months, I moved back to the Outer Banks with the kids and we were living with JJ. We told our friends and my parents and everyone kinda came back together. It was amazing. The kids loved JJ and he loved them. We were one big happy family. JJ and I were dating and we were legally changing Liam and Sophia's last names to Maybank. Oh yeah, and I was pregnant with baby number three. We were so excited and happy to grow our family.
