The umbrella academy: In which Five gets all the love he deserves

Untitled Part 1

Viktor watched as everyone left in their own direction, leaving Five and him alone. Until Five left too in their home. And he couldn't help but feel bitter at their reaction. After everything, they went through together. After everything Five had done for them. They turned their backs on him and left like it mean nothing. Like they are not a family. He expected this from Luther. Hell even from Diego. Ben too. Don't get him wrong. He's glad that Ben was with them. But he's not the same Ben that he and Five used to speed together when they were kids, all the time. Allison. He doesn't know where she is. And truly speaking after everything that she had done and said he couldn't find himself caring about her anymore. She could be dead for all he cares. But he didn't expect Klaus to leave as well.

He had seen it. Most of the time that they had spent in the alternate universe, Klaus and Five had bonded a lot there. They were almost always together. Hell Klaus even spoke fondly about their road trip when they went to search for his mother and how he had seen that Five was happy for the first time. So yes. He was shocked that he also turned his back on their little brother and left after Luther to help him search for his wife most likely.

Viktor had spent a few minutes outside waiting, and hoping that maybe the other would change their mind and return.  But they didn't. So he turned around and walked into the house as well. The house was dark and cold. Devoid of people. He sighed and he walked upstairs.

"Five?" he asked softly as he knocked at the boy's door. When he didn't get an answer he tried again only to be met with a "Go away", from inside.

So Five was in his room. He was worried for a second that he had left too. And not because then he would be alone. No. Because Five was a normal person. A normal kid. And without his powers, anything can happen.

"Five. I want to know if you are alright, " he said, lowering his head on the door. It was quiet and he could hear soft sniffles coming from the room. " Please Five"

Five had never felt so betrayed and hurt so much in his entire life when he saw all his siblings leaving him like this. After of course blaming him like it was his fault that they don't have powers anymore and that Sloane was not with them. New flash. It wasn't. But he guessed that blaming him instead of their backstabbing sister was easier. What a bunch of hypocrites. After they left he turned to see that Viktor was still there. He looked at him a little before he turned around and he walked into the house, knowing that his favorite brother would probably leave him too. Viktor wasn't a saint either. Maybe he didn't blame him as much as the others and neither did Klaus but he knew that some of the things that happened they blamed him too. It was easier for them too.

Five walked into his room and he curled in a small ball on his bed. The ache in his chest was even stronger and stronger as he realized that he was once again all alone. And he would grow up all alone again, And if it wasn't bad already what was even worse was that he was powerless. As much as he hates it Five couldn't help but feel like the kid he is. Helpless and alone. When he felt tears falling from his eyes, he didn't fight to hold them back as he did two times already. He let them fall.

A few minutes later he flinched when he heard Viktor's voice from outside his room. "Go away!" he shouted when heard him and he sniffled.

"Five. I want to know if you are alright". Alright? Why shouldn't he be alright? "Please Five".

The tone that his brother used made Five move from the bed and he opened the door coming face to face with his worried brother.

"Oh Five", he said upon seeing the tear-streaked face of his brother. He moved one hand to wipe his tears but Five flinched away.

"Don't fucking pity me Viktor. What do you want?"

"But I..."Viktor shook his head because he didn't want to argue with his little brother. " I wanted to see if you are alright"

"You saw me. I'm fine. Goodnight Viktor", he said annoyed and he was about to close the door when it was stopped by his brother who glared at him.

"You have become a terrible actor Five. Why do you insist that you are always fine and you shut us out and don't let us help you?"

Immediately he heard these words he exploded. " HELP ME? WHO? IF YOU DIDN'T NOTICE EVERYONE LEFT ME ALONE LIKE I MEAN NOTHING TO THEM. AND MAYBE THAT'S TRUE. BECAUSE ALL THIS TIME THEY ONLY BLAMED AND CALLED ME SELFISH. AND ALL I DID WAS TRY TO SAVE YOU ALL. EVERYTHING I DID WAS FOR THE FAMILY WHO DOENS'T GIVE A SHIT ABOUT ME AND ABANDONED ME" Five shouted. And immediately the shutting turned into sobbing as the boy collapsed on the floor crying.

Viktor was shocked by Five outbursts and he stayed quiet. Until his brother collapsed on the ground sobbing. Immediately he kneeled on the ground in front of him and he wanted to hug him but the boy slapped his hands away.

"DON'T TOUCH ME. LEAVE ME ALONE"

"No Five. I won't leave you alone" Viktor said and he finally managed to gather Five in his arms on his third try. And God Five was so skinny and he's a little bit taller than him but now he was feeling so small and fragile in his arms.  "Shhh. I'm not going to leave you. I promise. I'm here. It's ok."He shushed his little brother as he rocked them both back and forth and rubbed his back. He continued to assure his little brother that he won't leave him as the others will.

A while later Five had cried himself to sleep. Viktor was almost tempted to wake him so he can go to his bed. But he decide against it as he saw his peaceful face. He thought that it would be hard to move in the bed. But Five was even more light than he had expected and tucked him in the bed relatively easily.

And to prove his point that he won't leave him Viktor stayed with him all night, catching a few hours of sleep on the bedside chair when he did;t need to shush Five nightmares.

"What do you say we go on a road trip?" Viktor asked the next morning when he served Five his coffee and some food.

" On a road trip?"Five asked swallowing the food that his brother made him eat with a stern look.

"Yeah. Klaus told us about his and your road trip when searching for his mother and it sounds fun. But this time we don't need to search for anyone or anything. Just the two of us around America and maybe out too. Its sounds like fun"

Five was shocked at his brother's words. Truly speaking he didn't know what he would do. He can't find a job because he was 13 and the thought of spending every day in this house made him crazy. And no way in hell he would go to school. "Are you serious?"

"Dead serious. Our father's wealth is in our name" The only good thing that man did. " And we can get some from the bank get his car and go everywhere we go. "

"I...Alright. But if someone calls me your son I will punch them in the throat."

Viktor laughed and ruffled Five hair not minding the death glare. So after breakfast, they went to the bank and got some money. And then they went to the mall to buy some clothes because Five would not road trip through all of America in a suit or school uniform. And some snacks for the road.

And like Viktor said it was fun and they enjoyed it from the first day of their trip. And some people mistook Five and Viktor for father and son and had Five fuming and Viktor laughing as he restrained his brother and explained to the people that Five is his little brother and not son.

In the end, Five was happy that Viktor kept his promise and he didn't leave him alone but he ignored the calls from their others siblings when they tried to contact him.
