That was probably the worst day in Five life. Why? Because apparently, his idiotic siblings decided that enough was enough and he couldn't wear the uniform anymore, and he needs proper clothes. He doesn't understand why they make such a fuss. Yes, the uniform is horrible and people look at him like he skipped school every time he went for a walk. But they are still clothes. Better than nothing. In the Apocalypse, it was hard to find that too. Most of them had been burned or destroyed or were too full of ash to be safe to wear.

And now. Now he had been dragged by Allison and Klaus to the mall. He knew that he could have blinked away from that two places. But he can't for two reasons. 1. They would hide away all the coffee from the house. And with Griddy still closed, he doubts that other coffee shops would see black coffee to a 13-year-old kid. And 2. His sister and brother would still buy him clothes. But knowing them, there would be stupid ones. So he better stay there and made sure that there wouldn't be stupid ones.

"Alright. Let's go to the child section" Klaus said happily ignoring the death glare that Five gave him. Five trudged after them, wanting to be anywhere but there.

"Alright Five. Look around and everything that you like, you put in the cart" Allison said.

"Yeah yeah", he said as he looked around. He grabbed some jeans that he had found without bothering to try them to see if they fit and some shirts that he threw in the cart.

"Hey, Five. Don't you want to get something more comfortable as well?"Klaus asked as he grabbed some thirst with cartoons on them.

"Hell no"

"Come on Five. They are adorable. And you need to get some clothes for your age. You know. To mingle with other children."

"I'm not a kid, you idiot. And I definitely do not want to mingle with other children. I will rather die than wear those stupid things", he said angrily.

"Five", Allison said sternly.

"No. You said that I can choose what clothes I want and I did it"Five said as he stormed away from there. He didn't leave the complex. He just wanted to put some distance between them.

For someone that always insists that he's not a kid, he tends to throw a tantrum many times, like a kid. "C'mon. Let's look for some sweaters and sweatpants", Allison said as he took Klaus with him. "After he would cool down he would come back to us"

"Excuse me"Five attention moved from the jackets that he looked as he heard a woman's voice behind him. He turned to see a blond woman in her late twenties who smiled kindly at him.

"Yes", he said trying to be polite.

"I'm sorry. I didn't want to listen to your conversations. I'm a cashier and you and your family were close to me and you speak loud enough for the whole shop to hear you"

"What's your point", Five asked already annoyed by this woman. At least she wasn't a danger. That he could tell.

"Yeah. Sorry. I heard you have an argument with your parents about the choice in your clothing"

"They are not my parents", he said horrified. He needs to erase that thought from his mind. Yes, Allison likes to mother him, and Klaus pretended to be his father once, and he had been mistaken as his father again. But he would rather die than have one of them as parents. Oh, and they are also brother and sister and his siblings, Eww.

Apparently, the woman understands something else from his words. "I've been the same as you at your age. "She started and Five was tempted to say that he was not a kid and he's actually 58 and she hadn't been at his age yet. But he stopped himself because he would look crazy. "All rebellious and didn't want to be in my parents' presence. Didn't like what they wanted to buy me one day. One day I had an argument with them and said that they are not my parents. Unfortunately, they had been so focused on me that my father didn't pay attention to the road and had an accident and both died. I will always regret everything that I did and said. My point here kid. Is that your parents do what they do because they love you. And you should respect them for what they do for you and they are always there for you. You don't know how lucky you are "The woman said with a kind smile before she patted him on the head and she walked away.

The woman's story repeated in his head and Five pictured in her place. But then again. He had been in her place. Only that the situation was different and they were his siblings and not his parents. He still could remember the despair that he felt that day when he had found out that the dead people under the rubbles are his grown-up siblings. Even though now he still has them back, he saw them die so many times, that they haunt him in his dreams. And even though his family can be assholes, with each other. The fact that Allison and Klaus took him out to buy him new clothes when they could have left him to wear the uniform, show him that they love him.

And not only that and not only them. All his siblings do. They always rush into his room, every time he has a nightmare, and they hear him scream, his siblings come to him immediately. And instead of yelling at him for waking them up, they comfort him or stay with him. Or if he can't sleep and he leaves his room, there's always a hot chocolate waiting for him in the kitchen. Like they knew that that night he won't be able to sleep, and that drink always comforts him.

Five sighed. Maybe that woman was right. Maybe he should cherries that he has his family there and that they love him. Not everyone is so lucky. Five grabbed one of the jackets from the shelve and he looked around for his siblings. He found them a little farther, looking through the sweaters and he threw the jacket in the cart.

"Hey, Fivey. What do you think about this?"Klaus asked with a smile now that he saw that his brother was back and he looked more calmly. Klaus was holding a fluffy dark blue sweater in his hands.

"I like it", he said and he didn't see his brother and sister surprised looks. He looked around and spotted some of the t-shirts that Allison showed him. They have cartoons on them, but they didn't look that childish. So he grabbed them and put them in the cart as well.

"What?" he asked when he saw Allison and Klaus's expressions.

"What made you changer your mind?"Allison asked

"It doesn't matter"

They spent a couple of hours there, taking different clothes both for hot and warm weather. And when they showed him some clothes, instead of shouting at him for being stupid or childish, he smiled and nodded that he likes them.

In the end, after they took everything, and went to the cashier for Allison to pay for them, the woman who talked with Five was there and she smiled proudly at him. At least his siblings didn't notice. Or they would have asked what was that. And if he would tell them about the woman's discussion with him, then they would know what changed his mind and Klaus will either shout that Five loves them or he would start pestering about stranger danger. And he doesn't want to hear either of them.
