Amia decided to leave Jahseh's house until it was time for her flight because she didn't want to give in to him.
She decided she'd see Jasmine for the next couple of hours to clear her mind.
"What are you even doing in Florida?" Jasmine asked her and once she seen Amia got silent she shook her head.
"You came back for X?" She asked and she nodded.
Before Jasmine could express her emotions Amia spoke.
"I know but it's not like I want to get back with him I just still love him and it's just hard to just leave him behind so we are just hooking up" she told her and she nodded.
"For how long has this been going on?" Jasmine asked.
"Since the last time you seen me" she told her making her sigh.
"Why didn't you tell me? Something could've happened to you while you were over there" she told her, expressing her concern.
She shrugged "I thought you'd be mad at me" she told her and she nodded.
Jasmine wasn't mad at Amia but she was upset that Jahseh had such a hold on her. Getting to know Amia and how here life went helped her understand her situation with Jahseh a little more.
She wasn't going to force her off of him because she knew that would only pull her closer but she wanted to make sure that nothing happened to her.
"Just tell me when you're over there, I'm not really mad but you know he's dangerous Amia" Jasmine spoke making her nod.
"So that's why you weren't answering my calls last night?" She asked and she nodded.
"We'll not exactly, I was sleep" she explained and Jasmine nodded.
"I probably won't go back over there anyway he's mad at me" she told her making her nod.
"For what?" Jasmine asked.
"Because...I don't know, he's saying I'm using him to get over him and if I'm not over him we should just get back together because he wants to be with me forever" Amia explained making Jasmine scrunch up her face.
"But I don't want to be with him, I'm okay with what we have going on right now. I get to still have him close in my life without him constantly threatening my life, if I knew for a fact that's how our relationship would be then I'd get back with him but I'm scared of what he'll actually do" she finished explaining to her friend that agreed with her.
"I understand that just don't let him manipulate you into being with him again, don't do it" she told her and she nodded.
"I won't" Amia assured her and she nodded.
They were silent for a little before a question popped up in Jasmine's head.
"Did he try to hit you when y'all were arguing?" Jasmine asked making Amia shake her head.
"Oddly enough he didn't, he just started to get loud but he didn't even look like he was going to hit me" she answered.
Jasmine did find it strange but she was glad he didn't.
"Just keep me updated, I don't want you hurt."
