I stood waiting for Amia to come downstairs. I decided we'd go on a date tonight and spend the night away from everyone.
"So when did you guys become official?" Her mom asked making me look over at her.
I thought back a little before answering "it's been the past 3 months" I told her and she nodded.
"Mia never told me" she told me and I nodded.
"Really?" I asked and she nodded this time.
"Sí, I still thought you guys were still just friends. But she hasn't been talking much lately anyway" she sighed.
"Are you guys having problems?" She asked me and I shook my head.
We don't and we won't as long as she listens.
She nodded "solo no dejes que me arrepienta de confiar en ti Jahseh" she spoke making me furrow my eyebrows at her before she walked up to her room.
I don't even know what she just said to me. Finally Amia came downstairs in a slick black dress and her hair into a ponytail, she had on these black heels to wear with it making me smile. She's getting fucked.
"You look good" I complimented her.
She smiled at me "thank you" she spoke before looking around.
"Where'd my mom go?" She asked.
"To her room" I answered, I wanted to ask her what her mom said to me but I couldn't repeat that shit.
She nodded and walked right back upstairs.
"Mama we're leaving" she warned her.
"Be safe you two and remember what I said Jahseh" she spoke and I nodded even though I had no idea what she said.
I didn't want to be disrespectful and say it though.
"Okay I'm ready" she told me and I nodded and followed her out of the house.
I walked behind her to the car but stopped her when she tried to open her door and opened it for her.
She giggled "thank you Jahseh" I only nodded and closed her door before walking to my side.
I started the car and started to pull out the driveway, immediately wanting to talk to her about what I gathered.
"You didn't tell your mom we were together?" I asked her, looking over at her quickly.
"I thought I did, I guess not" she spoke making me hum.
"Your dad know?" I asked and she shook her head.
"But I'm sure he will by the time we come back" she told me and I nodded and then that made me realize.
"Oh yeah you know we're going to stay the night right? You didn't pack anything" I told her and she sucked her teeth.
"No I didn't know that Jahseh you didn't tell me" she told me making me nod.
She's right I didn't, I just asked her mom. I only told her that we were going out.
"I'm sorry we'll get you some stuff before we eat and go to the room."
"Why are you taking me to a room?" She asked me.
"Because I owe you a nap" I smirked, looking over at her.
"I'm not letting you put me down this time Seh, you rubbed it in my face too much" she spoke but I called bullshit.
"Mhm, we'll see."
