The first couple of months of me and Jahseh's relationship have been fine. He's keeping his promise but I just couldn't seem to get that through to my mother.
"I'm telling you mija if a man is crazy enough to put his hands on you in front of me then there's no way he changed that fast" she argued.
"Ma it's been 4 months now, 4 months and he hasn't even threatened to hit me no matter how many people I talk to" I told her and she nodded with a sigh.
"You trust him?" She asked me and I nodded.
"We'll then I'll try" she told me making me nod.
I stayed at her house for a little longer, talking before going to Jahseh's. He told me he had an surprise for me and honestly I was excited.
When I got to his house I didn't see his car making me smack my teeth.

I nodded at the message and got out of my car. I walked up to the door and checked under the mat before seeing the key and letting myself in the house.
When I walked in I sat the key on the island before closing and locking the door back.
It was cold in here so I turned the air off before walking into the kitchen and grabbing a snack, shortly after Jahseh walked in.
"Hi welcome home" I spoke making him chuckle.
"So what's the surprise?" I asked him, walking up to him,
"What do you think it is?" He asked me making me shrug.
"I truly have no clue" I told him and he nodded.
"Well I know you go on break soon so I got us some tickets" he told me making me furrow my eyebrows.
"Tickets? To where?" I asked him.
"New York" he told me making my eyes go wide.
"If that's okay with you" he spoke and I nodded.
"It's okay, I'm just a little surprised" I told him and he nodded.
"Yeah I know, haven't spoiled you in a minute."
I nodded before giggling "you haven't even been around to even do any of that" I told him and he nodded.
"I could've been" he told me making me shake my head.
"Not after what you did" I told him making him sigh and nod.
"How'd the talk go with her?" He asked and I shrugged.
"It was okay, she said if I trust you then okay" I told him and he nodded.
"You trust me?" He asked and I nodded.
"Well yeah, you haven't broke your promise to make me not trust you" I answered.
He didn't say anything else but sat the tickets on top of the refrigerator before turning back around to me.
"Why didn't you tell on me? Scratch that, why haven't you?" He asked.
"If I was in your shoes I would've been said something, especially with the title I have" he told me and I shook my head.
"I don't want you in trouble and you never did anything too harsh to make me feel like you deserved time, I just wanted you away from me sometimes" I told him and he tilted his head.
"You never fell like I didn't do anything too harsh?" He repeated making me sigh.
"Yeah I mean I had a lot of bruises but until we were at the end of our relationship you didn't actually injure anything inside my body" I explained and he nodded.
"Still I would've told" he told me again.
"We'll I didn't" I told him and he nodded.
"Thank you for that."
