I sighed as I sat in the car with Jahseh, waiting on him to blow up on me. I know he's going to just by how he looks.
I sat back in the seat and just waited which is terrible for my anxiety. I was internally freaking out.
"What you scared for?" He asked me, leaning back in his chair and sitting the keys by his side.
"I'm not scared" I lied and started to fiddle with my fingers.
"You're shaking and fidgeting" he pointed out and I nodded.
"Why you scared?" He asked me again, forcing me to look at him.
"Because I know you're going to yell at me" I admitted and he nodded.
"I'm not going to yell" he assured me.
"What we're y'all talking about?" He asked me and I shrugged.
"Nothing really just about how you felt" I answered and he nodded.
"How I felt about what?" He asked, his voice started to raise
"Um me and him talking" I answered.
"How'd y'all think I felt?" He continued with his questioning.
"I know you don't like it and he was just telling me why you don't" I responded and he nodded.
"Why don't I?"
"He said because he messed up last time you had a girl around" I told him and he nodded before letting me go.
My heart still stayed in my ass though as he started the car.
"You want to go home?" He asked me and I nodded.
He nodded too before the car got silent. I kept my hands in my lap as I looked out the window, trying to calm myself down.
"Why are you being so quiet?" He asked me making me look over at him before turning back.
"You scared me" I admitted making him suck his teeth.
"How? I didn't yell or nothing" he stated making me nod.
"Yeah but I thought you were going to so now I'm really nervous" I told him and he shrugged.
"We'll if you know my reaction to shit won't be good shouldn't you just not do it?" He asked me making me sigh.
"You said you don't want me talking to dudes outside of your friend group, the ones at the parties and stuff. That's what you said, so when did Stokeley become a problem?" I asked making his jaw tighten.
"Never mind I just won't do it again" I sighed, giving up and looking back out the window.
He nodded and got back quiet.
I decided my best bet to not get even more pissed off with him is to close my eyes and try my best to put myself to sleep.
"What you mad now?" He asked me making me roll my eyes.
"Can we just drop it?" I asked him and he nodded.
"Of course we can as long as you don't do it again."
