My parents weren't really too sure on trusting Jahseh with me that much but they knew they didn't want me in the house alone anymore. So I was told that while they're at work Jahseh can be in the house. Until my dad got a security system that is.

Of course Jahseh was quick to agree with them.

He'd been so polite to them that they trusted him with me alone. He'd told them things about himself that I didn't even know.

"I don't have a say so in getting a babysitter?" I asked making everyone at the table look at me.

"No" my dad spoke making me scrunch up my eyebrows.

"Me and your mother can't afford to take off from work for a week Amia and you need to be protected" my dad told me making me roll my eyes.

"Don't be mad at us. You let him in here" my mom told me.

"I didn't think you guys were going to turn him into my babysitter though" I told her.

They didn't say anything but went back to eating making me scoff.

"Mija look at your face, would you rather us have you sit here alone until we can get the security sat up?" My mother asked and I shook my head.

I knew they were right I just wish I had some type of say so during the whole conversation.

After dinner Jahseh had to go home so I walked him out.

"Your dad said he goes to work at 11 right?" He asked me and I nodded.

"Ight I'll be here at 10" he told me making me nod again.

"Stop pouting about it Amia, at least you don't have to sneak me in. Also your parents are nice as fuck" he told me before he kissed my forehead and walked away.

I furrowed my eyebrows because he kissed my head  but then turned and headed back in the house.

"So...do you like him?" My dad asked making me raise an eyebrow.

My mom shrugged "he's a cute little boy with manners the only thing I don't like on him is his tattoos on his face but his heart seems kind" she spoke making me smile.

My parents had a habit of reading people but they were so kind hearted that they never said anything to them about the things that turned them away. I knew they wouldn't like Jahseh's tattoos.

"I can tell he likes you hija, he's protecting you" my dad told me which made me blush.

"Okay guys stop it, he's just my friend" I told them and my mother smirked.

"Yes, for now."
