Waking up in the middle of the night with no noises I figured outside the room might be okay. I tiptoed downstairs and went into the kitchen, starting to make myself something to eat.
"Damn forgot you was here" Ming joked, only making himself laugh.
I ignored him and started to make the bowl of noodles.
"Oh nobody's here to stop me from talking to you" he spoke.
"Where's Jahseh?" He's asked me, getting up and walking into the kitchen.
I still ignored him. Jahseh could walk down at anytime and then Ming would be a problem.
I tried to get out of the kitchen but Ming walked in, blocking the only way in or out making me sigh.
I took a step back and walked further into the kitchen so that we weren't close.
Honestly I'm not even hungry right now, right now it's about making it go Jahseh's room without giving him a reason to be mad at me.
"Why you still here?" Ming asked me making me furrow my eyebrows.
"If it was me and he was treating me like that I would've been went back home" he told me making me shake my head.
If I could I would but I literally can't.
"He hit you?" He asked me making me shake my head.
"You're lying, talk" he told me and I still shook my head.
I just want to leave the kitchen bad. If I don't get out of here before Jahseh realizes I'm gone then that's going to be an issue.
"Let me out the kitchen" I told him, I'm sure I could push him over but I don't want cause problems.
"Mm words" he teased making me sigh.
I sat down away from him, knowing he was going to be a dick and now Jahseh will know I left the room. Being that Ming is bothering me and this wasn't a clean in and out situation, I'm going to get yelled at.
Just in time I heard footsteps coming downstairs making me nervous. When the person turned the corner I found out it was just Stokeley which didn't help. Now I'm down here with both of them.
"Why you blocking the walk way bruh?" Stokeley asked him.
"So she'll talk" he told him and Stokeley slowly nodded.
"I hope he smack you too" he told him, going into the living room.
Stokeley grabbed whatever he had to grab before going back upstairs leaving me and Ming in silence.
"What do you get out of this? I might get hit and you just want me to talk or go home?" I asked and he looked down.
"My bad, I just feel like you should do something. He's never acted like this over a girl before but it was probably because they spoke up for themselves" he told me while I leaned my head back and sighed.
I don't know what he's dealt with before but I knew I've tried to stand up for myself and each time ended worse than the other. I'm not going to keep pressing his buttons.
"So what's this?" I heard Jahseh ask making me hurry up and look up.
My heart raced but before I could explain myself Ming spoke.
"She was trying to get something to eat, I was talking to her" he told him and Jahseh nodded.
I got down off the counter to finish my noodles, feeling Jahseh's arm go around my waist.
"Ain't you supposed to stay in the room?" He asked me and I nodded.
I finished up the noodles before going upstairs and into his room. I knew I was going to end up in trouble regardless but fuck it.
I sat down on the bed, not surprised by Jahseh coming in and standing in front of me.
"I only went downstairs because I thought everyone was sleep" I explained and he nodded.
"What about you and Ming?" He asked me making me shake my head.
"He just wouldn't leave me alone" I told him the truth and he nodded again.
"Alright, I'm going back to sleep" he told me making me sigh.
No fighting this time.
