(Aly's POV)
"Are you ready, Rylie?" Aly leaned in on the door and looked at Rylie, who is sitting on the bed.
She smiled and noticed that Rylie hasn't packed anything yet. She went to Rylie's side and looked at those brown eyes.
She sighed. She knows why Rylie is apprehensive about coming home. It's been a month, and Aly knows that it's a bit awkward, especially if you have been away from home for a while. Plus, Rylie will still go back in the pack once they explained the situation to Rylie's family.
"I-I just---don't know what to say to them, Aly. I may be away for a while, and I don't know if they will let me go back with you." Rylie looked down for a moment.
"It's ok. If worse comes to worst. We will explain to them."
"How?" Rylie sighed and put both her hands to her face. "They don't believe in my father's research. Why would they believe me?"
"Then we will make them." Aly smiled and showed Rylie her fangs extending.
Those brown eyes widen, and Aly retracted her fangs and smiled again. "Here's your proof."
"That could work too." Rylie fiddled with her hands and looked at her before smiling.
Aly slapped her own thigh. "Then it's settled. Get up, and we will visit your mother and grandma."
She stood up and offered her right hand to Rylie. The latter took it, and they both smiled at each other.
Aly felt Rylie's warm hands, and she felt comfort from it. Their hands joined together felt like they belonged together.
"Thank you for standing up for me and fighting for me, Aly."
Aly remembered the words that Rylie said to her. She faked her sleep on that day and heard Rylie say it. Aly knows that Rylie had been taking care of her ever since. And for that, she began admiring Rylie's quick wit and smart mouth.
She doesn't like the fact that she's beginning to notice how beautiful those soft brown eyes are. She doesn't know who her mate is yet, yet she feels an unexplained attraction to Rylie.
---------
"Always wear this. This will hide your magic from the witches, but we don't know how much it can contain your magic."
Elder Ronin gave them a necklace of the same markings painted with their own blood as protection. It was a messy process, but it can contain their magic for a while. It came from the blood on their thumb.
"We should get going. The protection doesn't last, and we have to reapply our blood on it for a time."
She held Rylie's waist and stopped. Her ears and cheeks started to get hot. She realized that she touched Rylie where she shouldn't touch. Rylie looked at her with wide eyes but smiled afterward with a blush on her face.
"Ah...sorry." She quickly let go of Rylie's waist, and Elder Ronin looked at their interaction with an amused smile on his lips.
"Ah...to be young..."
"We will probably get going." Aly didn't respond to the teasing of Elder Ronin and quickly wore the necklace. It glows a white light before settling into its natural wood color.
She took the necklace meant for Rylie and faced the latter. She extended her arms to make Rylie wear it, but she stopped herself when she noticed Elder Ronin's teasing face again. Aly quickly looked away from Rylie.
She put a hand behind her neck. Shit. This feels awkward now.
"H-Here, Rylie." She opened Rylie's palms and dropped the necklace to it.
Rylie held the necklace to her chest and admired it for a second before wearing it. And Aly has to look away, or she will stare longer at Rylie's face. The woman has a soft, delicate jaw and heart-shaped lips begging to be kissed.
She forced herself to look at Elder Ronin.
"I suggest you transform Aly. So that you two will have a safe and fast journey. Those witches are probably hunting our grounds again." With that, Elder Ronin's jaw tightened.
And Aly felt the same way. Those witches are not afraid anymore of the pack, and there was more news of rogue wolves being drained of their magic. Before, witches can only hunt a single rogue, but the other day. There was clearly an attack on a neighboring pack. Almost all the pack didn't survive the attack. It won't be long before their own pack is attacked too. Thankfully. All the wolves being turned into rogues inside the Light Moon Pack are made to swear in front of the Alpha's powerful command not to tell their location.
If someone betrayed them; It will cost them their lives because they will sooner die before they can utter the pack's location.
She nodded to the elders. Closing her eyes and concentrating on the innate power of her wolf. Her body began to bulge into growing muscles and furs. Aly can feel her muscles ache from her transformation, but she gritted her teeth to braced herself from the pain. Her hair began to shrink into a fur of white then her teeth elongated into fangs. Until her whole body completely turned into a big white wolf.
Aly stomped her feet on the ground and nuzzled Rylie's head.
'Hop on my back Rylie.'
'A-Are you sure it's ok?'
Rylie looked at her eyes, and Aly nodded. With apprehension on her face. Rylie grabbed on her thick mane and swung herself upward. Elder Ronin helped Rylie get on her back, and Aly had to lower herself to accommodate Rylie's small frame.
When Rylie was seated on her back. Aly nodded to the elders.
'Hold on my neck tightly. I'll run from here on.'
Rylie leaned all her body weight pressed down on her back, and Aly almost groaned when she felt those breasts bounced on her back. She's thankful that she's in wolf form, and Rylie can't see her blushing from that action.
She shook her head to get the haze of lust in her mind. She howled, and the elders did the same. She nodded one last time to the elders, sniff the air, and sprinted away from the pack's location.
Her paws on the ground created smoked of dust trailing behind them. And Aly felt the rush of the winds on her mane and fur. She smiled, and her fangs showed.
'This is so amazing, Aly!'
Aly smiled. Not long ago, Rylie can't communicate in the mind link. Now, the woman knows how to do it instinctively. Soon there's more than Rylie will learn from being a werewolf. And Aly can't wait to teach Rylie all she knows.
'Wait till you transformed Rylie. I'll show you the joys of the hunts and the adrenaline in running. Hold on tight. I'll run faster now.'
Aly threw her muzzle up and howled. Then her hind legs put power for her front legs to pump faster towards the forest connected to Rylie's grandma's house.
