(Aly's POV)

"You want to go first?" Aly clutched the jacket that Mario gave her and looked at Rylie's state. And she still smiled when she remembered Rylie's face when they defeated the rogue werewolf.

Rylie looked so cute that for a moment, Aly was mesmerized looking at the brown-eyed woman. Rylie is stubborn but surprisingly can hold herself up in battle.

Aly can't help but get back to the first day they met and shook her head.

"W-What? You're looking at me like you are seeing me for the first time."

What Rylie said made Aly shook the haze from her mind. A smile appeared on her lips. "I'm thinking about what you did earlier. It wasn't a brilliant move, but I can commend that you think quick and acted fast based on your instinct. But we should really decide who's going in first."

Then Aly gestured in the direction of the bathroom. Rylie smiled awkwardly at her after looking in the comfort room's direction. Then she saw how Rylie swallowed and looked at her from head to toe. And Aly knew lust when she saw one, and suddenly her own heart started beating wildly.

She can't deny that Rylie is a beautiful woman, and right now, her own control is slipping away. It's been so long since she laid down with anyone. And those brown eyes are so transparent with what she wants that Aly can't help but give in.

Aly took a step closer to Rylie. It would be so easy to take Rylie right now....

She can hear Rylie's heavy breath, and it panned against her face.

"A-Aly...."

Rylie looks up, and Aly almost gives in to her desires, but she quickly took a step back. She averted, looking into Rylie's eyes.

"I-I'll go in first."

Rylie opened her mouth in shock and looked lost for a moment.

Aly didn't wait for Rylie to reply and just quickly went towards the comfort room. She hastily opened the door and closed it. Aly leaned her back on the closed door and put a hand to her chest. She also took a lot of breaths and shook her head a few times.

She can't take Rylie. Rylie deserves someone better. Not someone like her. Not someone broken. Then a flash of cries and shouting echoed on her mind. Aly clenched her fists and gritted her teeth.

It's all in the past. Don't go back there.

Aly stood straighter and let the jacket fall on the floor. She quickly turned the shower on and closed her eyes. Letting the water dripped on her head and body but flashes of Rylie's smiling face and the way those eyelashes fluttered. Or the way Rylie's body gave off heat that almost burned her.

She felt her body's temperature goes up. Unconsciously, her hands began to wander on her body too. What does it feel like to let Rylie touched her skin? Will they burn as their hands explored each other? What does it feel to feel those lips pressed against her own?

Aly moaned and bit her lip. As her hands came nearer and nearer to the lower part of her body, a knock made her open her eyes in shock. She whipped her head on the door and exhaled a breath.

"Aly? You didn't bring your towel in there. I put it in the door. Just grab it once you finished."

It's Rylie.

"T-Thanks."

That was close.

Aly can't even imagine if she walked out of the bathroom. Thinking about Rylie in such a carnal way can make her keep her desires under control. So she quickly took a shower.

True enough. The towel is hanging on the doorknob, and Rylie is nowhere in sight. Aly didn't know why she exhaled a breath, knowing that Rylie wasn't around when she came out of the shower. Rylie wasn't anywhere, and she realized that the latter must have taken a shower at Mace's. That kid took a liking to Rylie and immediately became clingy.

-------------------------

"That was brave but stupid," Hunter said to Aly as they go around the borders of the pack.

Aly scrunched up her nose in annoyance. Hunter wouldn't shut up about what the elder decided to do with Rylie. Aly must admit that Hunter has a point, but Rylie doesn't know the pack's rules and is a former human. It was a good decision from the elders that Rylie's punishment is not severe.

"She at least tried her best."

"But it could get all of us killed in the future."

Aly stopped and looked at Hunter. She can't really mask her annoyance anymore.

"Or maybe she will help us more in the future if we exposed her to what we do inside the pack," Aly said. "We protect each other, Hunter, and don't put the blame on each other. That's it."

Hunter shook his lower jaw and looked away from her. Her eyes suddenly turned yellow, and Hunter knew when not to piss her off even more. He lowered his head because she's using her beta voice.

Aly shook her head, jump and shifted in mid-air. She needed to cool her head off, or she'll rip Hunter's head off. It didn't help that she was also sexually frustrated.

Aly runs into the woods until she felt that she exhausted all her energy. She came back and immediately looked for Rylie. Even though Aly knew that Rylie is making her feel things. She just can't leave Rylie along with cleaning duties.

But she stopped midway on the way to the Alpha's office. She heard Rylie and Alpha Gab's laughter.

She clenched her hands into a fist. Where is this jealousy coming from? Rylie is not her mate is she? So why does she felt so protective of Rylie even though it was Alpha Gab? Rylie's talking to?

Aly turned around, but she stopped and looked at the Alpha's office. She's here to help Rylie, so screw it. Aly pivoted her body and went straight to the door. She opened it without knocking, and in a shock, Alpha Gab and Rylie looked her way.

They were both laughing because books were spilled on the floor, and dust is all over their heads. Aly bit her lip to stop herself from laughing.

Alpha Gab narrowed her eyes, and Rylie puts a hand to her mouth.

"Good timing. We really need some help here." Alpha Gab shook her head and combed her hair with her hands.

"What happened?" Aly walked in and looked at the two.

Rylie bit her lip guiltily. "W-Well, since I am shorter than this bookshelf. Alpha Gab decided to help me, but she ended up pulling the bookshelves down along with the books."

Aly shook her head, smiling. Then she picked up a book and put her open hands in Rylie's direction. "Hand me the rag. I'll clean the bookshelves. Put the books back where you can reach them. Then I'll do the upper shelves."

Rylie's smiles widened. And Aly wasn't prepared for the heart attack Rylie gave her when the latter hugged her.

She can't even explain how her heart surged with happiness. Her eyes softened as she looked at Rylie's smiling face.
