Aly went back to Nora's place after her talk with Rylie. She needs to know what happened to the antidote.
Is Nora able to replicate it? She needs to report it to Alpha Gab, so that they have hope for Macey and the other kids.
She walked into the meadow and looked around. The heretic usually shows herself when she feels like it but Aly has no patience for today. Her eyebrows furrowed.
"Nora! Did you replicate the antidote?!"
She waited but only silence greeted her.
"Nora!"
She looked around.
Still there's no one showing up. Aly bit her lip. If Nora tried to get the antidote for herself, Aly has no choice but to kill the witch or captured her unwillingly. That would be more appropriate for the heretic but Alpha Gab is much more of a fair ruler than she cares to admit. And she wonders if she'll be the same if she had become the Alpha of the Raven Crest.
"Nora! Don't tell me you are ditching on your promise! I will not give you Alpha Gab's blood.!"
She looked around once again and when she turned fully around she put a hand to her heart when she saw Nora sitting on a picnic mattress and was caressing a child's hair.
It scared the hell out of her!
"What are you doing?"
Aly looked at the child and her eyes narrowed. Then she looked at Nora with suspicion.
"What is a child doing here? Are you experimenting on her?"
Anger started to rise in her body like a hot lava. She closed her fingers tightly until her knuckles were white.
Nora put her pointing finger on her lips and made a 'sshhh' sound.
"She's sleeping."
Aly's eyebrow furrowed. She thinks the child is only five years old. But as far she knew that Nora had no child. The heretics can't have a child because they defy the law of nature. It's a curse by the moon Goddess once you break the natural law. It's forbidden.
"Who is she?"
"It's none of your business, Aly." Nora slowly smiled. "Why are you here?"
The heretic witch could have been a wonderful mother is she wants too but Aly knew better. Nora won't change. Just because of a child. But Aly thought that she knew who the child looks like. Blonde hair and that cute button nose.
She just can't figure it out right now. But that's really none of her business and she bet if the witch will tell her the truth.
"The antidote? Is it ready?"
Nora shook her head. "I need a live subject to test the result."
Aly shook her head. "I can't give you the were-witches on our pack"
"Then we can't test the antidote."
Aly gripped her hair. Nora is so relaxed while she's here stressing herself out.
"What more do you want?!"
Nora raises her eyebrow, looked down at the child before looking back at her. "You are the one who needs my service Aly. Not the other way around. Come back if you have two were-witches to be my test subject."
Just then all the whole place became dark and in a blink of an eye. Aly was left standing there alone.
Aly tilted her head to the side and messed her hair up. Nora is cocky and arrogant just because they are the one asking for favors but it will all change once the whole pack decided to create unity and provide laws that will keep all the werewolf in. The witches also need to agree on the laws that would ensure all the super naturals won't blow their cover with the humans.
But whatever. She would ensure that Nora won't be able to do anything harsh or evil once the law is set for all.
She then ran away and transform midway in the meadow of flowers and ran towards the pack's location.
--------------
"This is a big problem."
Alpha Gab walked back and forth. Aly followed the Alpha's movement with her eyes as she was resting her back on the closed door of the Alpha's office. She already told the Alpha what Nora told her.
"I need five people to capture a were-witch."
Alpha Gab whips her head. "How will you do that? Were-witches started hiding right now. How could we lure them out?"
Aly put a hand to her chin and stroked it. The Alpha had a point. There's no way that it was that easy to capture a were-witch. They went into hiding once their leader was defeated and now she doesn't know where they are. It's like finding a needle in a haystack.
"What plan do you have in mind?"
"Show myself to them in the open. I won't wear the pendant."
Aly held the pendant made by the elders. Then she clasped her hands around it. All the elders are dead because of what happened and she felt a burning anger inside her chest bloomed.
Alpha Gab sighed. "There's a flaw to your suicidal plan."
Aly looked at the Alpha. They are the only ones in Alpha Gab's office because Kelly and Hunter are off to stalk Lina again. And Nathan is patrolling the borders with the others. While Rylie is trying to access her Lobo form and balancing her school life.
"I know." Aly looked out of the window. "We don't know where the were-witches are."
Alpha Gab nodded her head and winced. "Exactly."
"But it's still worth a try." Aly looked at the skins of their ancestors displayed on the wall of Alpha Gab's office. "U ue Ansrasros."- For our Ancestors
Alpha looked at the displays on the wall and nodded her head again. There was a look of worry in her eyes.
"I don't know what I'll do with you. Even if you are strong. We still need to assemble the whole squad for your plan."
"I know."
Because instead of were-witches maybe they'll lure the witches instead and much worst if they are able to harness their wolf form and their witch's magic.
"When will the pack be able to get together?"
Alpha Gab sat on her chair and looked out of the window. "The Moon Goddess's night will be held tomorrow. All the pack will be here."
Aly bit her lip. "Should I invite Rylie?"
Alpha Gab shook her head. "No. We can't have you two distracted while the battle is still on."
A flash of hurt crossed the Alpha's eyes and Aly looked away. She doesn't want to betray the Alpha like this. They are best friends since the day she drifted to this small pack and she never thought that everything between them will be awkward because of a woman. But they all respect what the Moon Goddess gave them.
Aly opened her mouth to say something but Alpha Gab smiled. A smile that didn't reach her eyes.
"I know Aly. I won't hold it against you."
"I-I'm sorry. Alpha Gab..."
Alpha Gab nodded her head again. "No need to be sorry. We are always doing what the Moon Goddess told us to. We can't really know what her plans are but we trust it. It's good for us."
"T-Thank you."
Alpha Gab turned around and looked at the whole forest outside of the office. "Go and do your thing for a while. You need to also train and rest for the plan."
Aly bended her lower body down before walking out of the office.
She felt so hopeless for their situation. There's no concrete plan for now but she hoped they could pull it off. The whole situation needs to be resolved before everything crumbles in front of them.
She closed her eyes tightly. "If you are listening somewhere. Please guide us."
The blue sky greeted her eyes and she squinted when she saw the sun shining brightly. And hope blossomed inside her heart.
