Kelly's POV
It's been three days, and Kelly still hadn't found a way out of the damn place. The mating season has passed, and they all tried so hard not to go crazy. Thomas hadn't returned, and she was beginning to feel hopeless.
The witch with whom she made eye contact constantly checks her out, and she knows he has malicious intent as he looks at her up and down whenever he comes. He was also smirking whenever their eyes met, which made the back of her spine go cold.
It was a good thing that the witches didn't know about the mating season, or she would have to force herself to mate.
"Are you sure that there's nothing of use in that damn notebook?" Kelly asked Helga a hundred times today. She paced back and forth while looking at the door.
She was worried that the witch would execute his plans today. She can still remember the way he walked towards her and invaded her personal space.
I'll see you tonight.
Kelly shivered, and she rubbed her arms.
Helga looked at her and shook her head. The black-haired woman put her mouth on Kelly's ear to stop the others from hearing what they were talking about.
"I-I don't know what these symbols mean."
Helga then pointed a three claw and a slash in the middle. There were scribbles that didn't make sense. It was a DNA drawing and a symbol on the side that must have been a medical term. There were formula's and symbols they couldn't figure out.,
Two days ago. They already knew who was the snitched inside this facility. What Thomas said was true. Those who inform the one who plans to escape are given special treatment.
She looked at the woman with black hair and a long scar to her upper lips down to her lower lips. The woman had been eyeing them with hatred since the witch took a liking to her. So she concluded that she was his mistress.
"Sh*t!" Kelly cursed under her breath, and Hanna glared at her before covering Mace's ear.
"Don't curse!"
Mace looked at her mother, then at Kelly. She bit her lip and crouched in front of Mace. "S-Sorry, Macey. I curse when I get frustrated but don't follow my example, ok? Promise we will get out of here."
"P-Promise?" Mace put up her little finger.
"Yes." Kelly took it with her own and locked their little fingers together.
Kelly's heart warmed. She remembered something in the past. A little girl called for her, and before she could travel down memory lane. Two of the witches came inside. The first witch was the man who eyed her. And he was looking at all the faces of the prisoners as if looking for someone.
Kelly's heart sunk as the feeling of dread came up her system. Her hands became frozen, and she stood still as their eyes met.
Sh*t!
He smirked and walked towards her.
"There you are."
He didn't take his eyes off her, and Kelly tried to run away, but before she could do that, she felt her feet frozen in place.
She gritted her teeth and yanked her feet, but it won't budge. When she looked down, ice was gathering on her feet, moving upward.
"Where are you going, darling?"
He reached out his hands to touch her arms, but Kelly's hands flew to slap him in the face. Her hands shook when she did that.
"Get away from me!"
