It was just in time when everything seems hopeless that Aly saw the first group of werewolf who rescued them came into view. She was already bruised and her wounds are now beginning to throb. Nathan and Hunter is also having a labored breath as they are now back to back, waiting for the were-witch to attack.
She clawed the were-witch that came her way. Just in time when one of the pack members bit its head off. Then another werewolf was blasted with lightning.
'Beta Field!'
'Thank Goddess you are here.'
'Alpha Gab sent us but they are also going into the battle now!'
Aly looked behind her and evaded the fire spells that came her way. Nathan and Hunter is also now facing a were-witch enemy.
'What the hell?! The reporters and the police are closing in on us. We should wrap this thing up.' Hunter shouted inside the mindlink and almost everyone groaned. 'We still need to go to the Alpha!'
Aly nodded her head. If only the rescue team found out what they hold out for. Maybe they will not complain about Hunter's shouting.
Damn it. They still need to come to Alpha Gab's rescue. But why is there a battle going on? She thought she found out the were-witches lair. Or is it a part of their plan?
Shit!
Her ears perked when she heard the first crunch from 100 meters away. Several foot are walking at the same time and she heard there chatter as they drew closer.
'100 meters.'
'That's too close.' Nathan gritted under his teeth.
'Thought Beta?' another werewolf mind linked her as she struggled with evading the were-witch's attack on her.
Aly jumped in the air and slash the were-witch's throat. A barrage of blood erupted from its severed neck and coated her coat. 'Intercept. Just like our operations before.'
It was hard for Aly to tell 2 or more of her pack to intercept the reporters and the police because they would be left with few people to fight the were-witches but when they had no choice. It would either be hard choices or consequences to choose from. She'll always choose the hard choice.
Three of the werewolf from their pack nodded their heads and soon leaped into the air towards the direction of the reporters and the police. They almost got caught in another were-witch's attack but Nathan stepped in and fought that were-witch. Now they are down to eight were-witches that they would still need to fight.
"Get out of my way!" Aly growled and transformed mid-air. The were-witch in front of her was surprised and fumbled with a spell that didn't come into fruition because she aleready bit its head off. The head rolled to the side with its mouth hanging open from shock.
Now it's down to seven. The rest of the pack is either dead or wounded. Nathan and Hunter had serious injuries in their bodies and are still able to fight.
Aly looked at Hunter. "Can you still fight?"
Hunter nodded his head and narrowed his eyes at the remaining were-witches. They all shouted and fought the were-witches head on.
"For Macey!" Nathan shouted. He jumped to evade the fire ball from a were-witch and ran towards the were-witch. The barrage of fire spell in Nathan's way didn't faze him. When he got close to the were-witch Nathan clawed her face and slashes its throat.
The were-witches flew from the air and made a circle of blood in the air. The werewolf who got caught in the circle burned and Aly, Nathan and Hunter, leaped as soon as they come in contact with the edges of the circle.
Aly dodged it but she was caught in a fire ball thrown at her from the back. She doubled over from the burning sensation.
"Beta!" Nathan comes to her side and checks on her.
Hunter faces the were-witch who threw the fireball and fought it. Aly gritted her teeth and stood up despite the difficulties. She narrowed her eyes to the witches and saw the carnage in front of her. There are fallen comrades on the ground and some of the werewolf is still fighting. She needs to fight too!
"Can you stand up?" There was worry in Nathan's voice and Aly nodded her head. She doesn't want to be weak but she admits that her back hurts a lot and the wounds from the earlier fight almost made her want to close her eyes and rest.
The were-witches are now down to three and there are more werewolves they could handle.
Just as they were about to ran away. Hunter stood in their way, as well as the other werewolf. They are now surrounding the three were-witches and Aly can see them trembling.
"S-Sorry. Please don't kill us."
One of the were-witches dropped to his knees and put his hands together. Aly shook her head towards her allies. If they let the were-witches live, they would just continue in their evil ways. This is a hard thing to do but she needs to make a choice.
"Kill them."
Aly then looked away as the werewolves tear the were-witches to pieces. Nathan looked on and gritted his teeth. Aly knew he wants them dead because of what happened to his daughter. Aly knew it was too much but they don't have a choice.
When the battle was over, Aly limped her way out of the forest. They need to cover the bodies up but they can't do that at the moment.
"Let's go to the Alpha. She needs us there." The remaining werewolf nodded their heads but Aly knew she can't leave the fallen werewolves body behind. "Take our comrade and lay them in the pack's location. They need to be buried as a hero and not some rotting corpse in the middle of woods."
Some of them nodded their head and presented to be the one to take the corpses away. Nathan looked at her.
"You need to rest. I'll carry you on my back on the way to the Alpha." Nathan then transformed into his wolf form and lowered his body.
Aly climbed up Nathan's body and held unto his fur. She will heal on the way to the battlefield. It would only take a while; she was still an Alpha after all despite being a beta in the Light Moon Pack.
"I'll lead the way to Lina's mansion." One of the werewolves lead the way and they all followed her.
Aly looked at the were-witches dead bodies on the ground. She closed her eyes tightly. The list of dead people in her hands had added again. They would haunt her again in the middle of the night soon but she can't let them live, not when they could bring harm than good.
Nathan followed the other werewolves and Aly held on to his fur tightly.
