CHAPTER 110

Rylie blinked and looked around. She was awakening from the last marbles she had cracked under her palms. At first she didn't feel it but when she stood up. She felt a shadow looms on her back. The overwhelming dark aura had a pressure on her back like she was about to be crushed.

She quickly turns towards it and there was nothing there.

'Are you ok?'

'Y-Yes.' Rylie replied to her wolf, blinking.

'Let's go rescue the pack.'

She nodded her head. There's no time to hesitate right now. Rylie ran and transformed. It took everything in her to sprint with scars and wound on her body. Her grey wolf took a lot of beating too inside the place of her mind. She was in no fit to fight but the Lobo form's energy and power is coursing to her body. It gives her a renewed energy as her injuries and her wounds started healing.

'You think you won? I don't think so.'

She shook her head. The voice inside her mind feels like it was whispered on her ears.

'Are you ok?'

Rylie nodded her head. 'I-It's was nothing.'

Her wolf was silent for a moment. 'It's taking a toll on you, isn't it?'

'It's probably nothing.'

She stepped on a white ash lined on the whole area. It wasn't really important to her at the moment. She needs to get to where the pack is! Her heart beating hard against her chest in fear. What if she's already too late? Her sacrifices and her training doesn't matter if she can't rescue them in time!

She skidded to a halt when she heard shouting and explosions. Her eyes widen when she saw the pack, witches and were-witches locked in a battle.

Rylie looked at Kelly's way when Nora the heretic witch extended her hands. Kelly transformed into her Lobo form. It was a dark and white wolf massive as the ones in her dreams. Kelly snarled and ran towards the heretic. But with one twist of a hand, Kelly stopped and whined then clawed at her neck.

'Shit! Do something!' Her grey wolf shouted and Rylie looked around her for help but everyone is engaged. She looked around for Aly but her mate is nowhere in sight. 'Where's Aly?'

She shouted it in the mindlink hoping that someone will be able to tell her.

Alpha Gab looked at her and her eyes smiled for a little before resuming in serious mode. 'Rylie. Aly is still in your university but I already sent a rescue there. She'll be here in a moment.'

The Alpha then fought another were-witches and heretic witches that comes her way. Same with Lina and the others.

Damn it! Rylie shook her head hard and closed her eyes tightly. She doesn't know how she'll do this but whatever, she'll just fight Nora her way. Just please come quickly Aly!

"Stop!" Rylie faced off in Nora and the heretic laughed.

"You think Kelly was seriously helping you when she awakened your Lobo form?"

Nora lifted her hands and Kelly turned towards her, saliva dripping in her Lobo's mouth.

Rylie slowly backed away. "Kelly. It's me, Rylie. Snapped out of it!"

The Lobo form tilted its head and looked at her for a moment as if recognizing her but it snarled again and showed its fangs.

"She told you that it would corrupt you right?" Nora laughed again. "The more you fought it for dominance it would try to control your body."

Rylie smiled. "You are wrong. I didn't fully transform into my Lobo form yet. I just took its powers and strength. But even if it will try to control me. I'll fight back."

"I-It will control you?"

Rylie quickly turn around and saw Aly. Aly stepped down from Nathan's back. A look of confusion is written in her face.

"Y-Yes. I-I'm sorry, Aly. I—"

Before Rylie could say anything, Aly hugged her. "Why didn't you tell me?"

"I-I'm sorry. If I told you I know you won't allow me to use its power. I want to be able to help the pack. I want to help the pack in my own way."

Alpha Gab punched another were-witch on her way and went to their sides. The Alpha looked at her. "If I know I shouldn't have let you do that too. It's dangerous."

The heretic witch dropped its smile. "The players are already here. Let's start the ritual."

They looked around them as a glowing light started to appear all around them. It changes its color from green, red, blue then dark grey.

"What's happening?"

She heard that all around her. But Rylie don't want to know what will happen. She needs to kill Nora. But as soon as she stepped towards the witch. Kelly stood in front of her.

"Kelly!"

But Kelly's Lobo form turned towards her and clawed her. Just in time for her to evade it's massive claws.

"Rylie!" Aly rushed to her side but Nora the heretic witch faced Aly. Alpha Gab also went to Aly's side and joined her. The two faced the heretic witch and the barraged of spells started to come in to the two werewolf.

'There's no imagining things to come to you here.' The voice of the Lobo form mocked her. 'But if you let me out I can help you.'

'No!'

Rylie jumped just in time as another slash of claw came her way. Kelly's Lobo is precise in its attack and she almost got caught in that attack. She wiped the blood on her face.

She can't fight it with her grey wolf like this. She needs to be the same size and same prowess but she doesn't want to end up like Kelly. But if there's a chance that she will be able to get Kelly back then maybe---.

"Rylie!" Lina came to her side and floated by her side. "Kelly will not be able to control her wolf. She already loses her senses and her humanity. The only instinct she had is to kill. We have to kill her."

"W-What?" Rylie looked at Kelly and her immediately watered. Kelly had a kid. She will not see the child if Kelly will die here! She shook her head and fisted her hands. "W-We can't!"

"You are so stubborn. Kelly is already dead inside, Rylie. She had succumbed to the control of her Lobo form. We can't let her escape or she'll terrorize the town."

Lina then throws a fireball in Kelly's way. "Do it!"

Kelly evaded it and Rylie closed her eyes tightly before opening them. 'I'm sorry Kelly!'

She ran towards Kelly's way and extended her claws. Then she channeled the Lobo's power coursing through her body in that one slashed. Even though she was much smaller compared to Kelly's Lobo form. She was able to cut its right paw. Blood spurted out of its paw and Kelly rolled to the ground and whined.

Lina loomed over Kelly and closed her eyes too. Tears fell from Lina's eyes, she uttered a prayer on her lips and slashed Kelly's head off with an air spell. Then set it on fire with another spell.

Rylie looked away as the body of Kelly burned to the ground. Then her eyes narrowed towards Nora's way.

The heretic witch will pay for what she did! Lina held her shoulder and looked at the heretic witch too.

"We have to stop her."

Rylie nodded her head and they both ran towards the heretic witch to help Aly and Alpha Gab.
