CHAPTER 72

(Rylie's POV)

Rylie jumped back, carrying Alpha Gab in her arms. Though heavy. She instantly lifted the Alpha. still in her Lobo form.

The ground sizzled and burned from where they were a few moments ago. Rylie gritted her teeth and looked at it then at the coven leader's way.

Her eyes darkened, and she looked up to meet the coven leader's eyes. He smirked at her.

He was clearly mocking her! First her father, now Alpha Gab? She will never forgive him!

But before Rylie could step in and attack the coven leader. Elder Tristan and Elder Lola attacked him first.

"Are you ok, Rylie?"

Rylie looked in Aly's direction as she balanced Alpha Gab on her arms. Aly was clutching her shoulder and went towards her with an unsure step.

She closed her eyes for a moment before opening them. Aly is in a bad shape and it's all her fault. It doesn't have to come to this if only she learned how to control herself!

"It's me. I-I'm sorry for what I did." Rylie hangs her head in shame.

"It's alright. You didn't mean all of it."

Aly shook her head.

But still.... Rylie looked at the rest of the pack and the other witches. She felt like she had let them down. She's a liability in this fight.

"Welcome back, Scott!" Lina tapped her shoulder, but Rylie looked at Alpha Gab's face as the latter clutched her shoulders.

"D-Don't worry about me. I-I can still survive this. I am the Alpha, remember?"

Alpha Gab smiled despite wheezing and trying to catch her breath. Rylie shook her head then tears fell to her face. She lowered the Alpha to the ground.

She closed her fist and gritted her teeth.

"Go. Help Kelly get the kids back. We can't risk losing people again." Her voice is full of sadness.

The rest of Lina's coven nodded their head, and the other pack members too. Only Alpha Gab, Aly, Lina and the Elders were left.

Alpha Gab closed her eyes for a moment. "I'll live. Trust me. T-Then.... You can choose between Aly and me."

Aly was taken aback by what the Alpha said. "Y-You knew?"

"I don't have to be the moon goddess to know that Rylie had a crush on you back then." Alpha Gab said. "Doesn't mean I won't take my chances."

"Why can't you take your chances?" Lina uttered and they all looked at her with furrowed eyebrows in which Lina just shrugged her shoulders.

Rylie's attention went back to the Alpha when Aly crouched down.

"T-Thank you, Alpha Gab." Aly held the Alpha's hands, and she nodded. "We'll kill that were-witch and get you the help you need, alright?"

"I can help her. I'll heal her." Lina came to their side and held the Alpha's stomach. "Go."

She and Aly nodded.

Her eyes sharpened when it landed towards the coven's leader. He wasn't smirking anymore as he was swarmed by Elder Tristan and Elder Lola.

"Let's go!" Aly ran towards the fight and transformed in mid-air. White blur started to cut to the coven leaders' movement.

Rylie followed Aly. She jumped in the air and transformed into her grey werewolf form.
