"Alpha Gab?" Rylie looked at the Alpha and winced. She looked back on the closed door and bit her lip. "I-I----"

"Why won't you knock on the door?" The Alpha lowered her head before looking in her eyes and smiling. It made Rylie's heart jumped inside her chest. The Alpha could really be charming yet she loves Aly so much. If she could choose over again maybe the Alpha could have a chance.

Alpha Gab had this charming smile and personality that anyone could fall in love with her. While Aly was the dashing knight in shining armor with a little bit of a temper. There must be something wrong with her if she chooses Aly over the Alpha but she can't really choose who she loves.

"I-I... I'm sorry earlier. I shouldn't have been angry with the both of you but please don't hide anything from me. I am now part of the pack."

Alpha Gab lowered her head. "I'm sorry too Rylie. We thought we are protecting you but what you said was true. You are part of the pack. Whether its good news and bad news. We need to tell you as part of the pack."

Rylie smiled and shrugged her shoulders. "You are forgiven."

"So forgive Aly too. She can be hot headed at times and stubborn but she has good intentions."

She bit her lip and looked at the closed door. "Yes, I know."

Alpha Gab smiled at her and nodded. Then started walking away.

Rylie inhaled deeply before knocking on the door. She waited for a few moments before it opened and a very surprised Aly looked at her up and down. Her mouth hangs open.

"R-Rylie? W-What are you doing here?"

"H-Hi. Can I come in?"

"Y-Yeah sure."

Aly opened the door wider and Rylie stepped in. She looked around and smiled. Aly is really a predictable person. She still has her couch and her double bed inside the small bunker of a cabin. The same things are still placed in the same positions.

"I'm sorry. The house is a mess."

Aly picked up a half opened popcorn snack and tossed it in a garbage. Then put a hand on the back pocket of her jeans and looked at her.

"S-So... what are you doing here?"

I missed you. That's what Rylie wanted to say but she closed her mouth and looked at her feet. She's so indecisive about Aly and yet here she is about to ask Aly a favor. She wouldn't be surprised if her mate would reject her with her mixed signals like this.

"I-I want to ask for a favor and of course...I want to say sorry." Rylie looked up and met Aly's ocean blue eyes. "I'm sorry for bursting out, Aly."

The left corner of Aly's mouth curved up. "It's ok. We are all strung up because of what happened and... it's not a big deal Rylie. I understand where you are coming from."

Rylie stared at Aly. There was an overwhelming feeling inside her telling her to tell Aly the truth. The whole truth but she was afraid that if she ever did that. All the plan she had with Kelly will crumble. She can't do that. And besides the punishment for betraying the pack is banishment or death. She doesn't want to see Kelly get killed because of her.

"Still. I'm sorry."

Aly let out a breath and stepped closer to her.

Rylie's heartbeat automatically beat faster. Then she felt her whole face gets hot. More so when she felt Aly's hands hold hers.

"Rylie. It's alright. But after all this is over. I want you to be officially mine."Aly looked into her eyes and search it. "I promise I will take care of you. I will provide for us and for the little kids will be having in the future."

Rylie sucked in her breath. Aly's declaration is too much but she feels warm because of it. Her eyes soften.

"I know Aly. I promise."

They both smiled at each other. Rylie closed her eyes and leaned into Aly's hands when the latter tucked a strand of hair at the back of her ears.

Then before she knew it. She felt something touched her forehead. It was Aly's lips.

Mate....

It felt magical and felt so right. Maybe that's why the moon Goddess brought her Aly. They are opposite but they complimented each other a lot.

"Now. What's the favor you are going to ask of me?"

Rylie opened her eyes and saw Aly looking down at her. It was full of love and Rylie knew that she couldn't be any happier with the Moon Goddess's decision of Aly being her true mate.

"Can you go with me? I mean I can't be alone walking the woods. I'm afraid that I will encounter come of the were-witches. I can't risk that knowing that I don't have full control of my Lobo form yet."

Aly pursed her lips. "Alright. Let us asked Hunter, Nathan and Kelly too."

"N-No. I-I don't want to disturb them. They are already exhausted from the funeral and are probably still grieving. Let them be for now, Aly."

Aly sighed.

Rylie knew that Aly is also grieving but the truth is. She doesn't want anyone else to come. Specifically, Kelly. She's afraid that her mother and her grandmother will be put to danger if she ever let Kelly stepped into her home. After all the heretic witch can see through Kelly's eyes. But she was still risking their life if she just let Aly the only one who would accompany her. But it's a risk she's willing to take.

"Alright. Let's go while it's not yet dark."

Rylie nodded her head. And before she knew it. They are running towards the direction of her grandmother's house. They arrived just before her mother could beat them to it.

She was still catching her breath when she saw her mother pull up from the driveway. Her mother's eyes immediately widens when she saw Aly beside her.

"W-What is she doing here?" Her mother pointed a hand at Aly's way.

Aly awkwardly put up her right hand and waved. "Hi. Mrs. Scott."

"Mom. C-Can Aly stay with us just for tonight? It's already dark out and I'm afraid for her safety."

Her mother looked Aly up and down before looking at her. "Isn't she a werewolf?" Her voice a whisper when she said the last word. "Isn't she capable of protecting herself?"

Aly winced while Rylie's eyebrow furrowed.

What should she say to her mother? All the were-witches, werewolf and witches are now having an all-out war? Albeit, invisibly? But there's still danger lurking around because of the murders and killings happening in their small town.

Then it hit Rylie, like a light bulb suddenly flickered on inside her mind.

"Mom. You know what's happening around town right? About the killings? Even werewolf are killed. I don't know who or what is killing people around our town but I don't want to take chances. So I want Aly to stay with us, please?"

Her mother sighed. "I know about the killings and if you really want her to stay with us. I want her to behave. Alright?"

Aly and Rylie looked at each other before nodding their heads.

Her mother looked up at the sky. "It's getting dark. Let's come inside."
